Took me a while to find the November challenge as could not see a link from October. I will not join the challenge but like to follow unofficially. At the moment I am selling items on ebay for someone else which is generating quite a bit of income. The money from these sales are going towards the estate of a late uncle, eventually this will be shared out and we will get the benefit, just not at the moment, so I can't count these earnings towards the challenge. Last month I made about £2.50 a day so really struggling to make target of £5. On a more positive note we paid our mortgage off at the weekend so we are now mortgage free:T

I am still doing surveys etc and have fingers in lots of pies but earnings are too slow to make any effect on the challenge.

Fairy So pleased to hear you are now debt free, what an achievement, Well Done!

CP I am so sorry to hear things are difficult right now. I agree with the others that you need to take time for yourself. I used to take anti-depresents but did not like the way they made me feel or rather the fact they virtually shut down all feeling. I weaned myself off them and now take St Johns Wort which I find relaxes me but does not have any other side effects. If I can be of any help in anyway or if you want to meet for a chat or get out of the house for a while, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Forgot to mention also that we have had two lots of inheritance in the last few months, one an interim payment and one a complete payment. These mean life is no longer such a struggle. If OH is made redundant it is not such a worry knowing we have some savings behind us. It also means we can get repairs on the house done and other outstanding issues. Our eldest daughter is in her last year of Medical school so she will start earning soon and we will no longer need to supplement her. It is good to be able to see an easing of our finances as it has been a struggle the last few years and I no longer feel stressed about the situation.

Today I've made.... 32p by doing the washing! Have bagged up the coins in a ziplock food bag and written "Xmas Fund" all over the bag. Husband thinks I've lost the plot! Sent him and the boy to CEX with old Wii games, waiting to see what £ they come back with - strict instructions to hubby that the money is mine for the fund. 3 of my 13 listings on ebay have bids now, lots more to go on this afternoon, and 3 bin liners now full of old non ebay worthy clothes for the cash4clothes shop down the road next week. Feeling slightly obsessed but good :)

    Well done vjacx:j

I am celebrating because I have FINALLY managed to ditch Halifax Ultimate Reward which was costing me £15 a month:eek: and I never used any of the "benefits" I received my lovely new downgraded normal current a/c welcome pack yesterday and will get my new debit card in a few days. I don't qualify at the moment for a Reward a/c where they give you £5, maybe later on...... Obviously I won't add the £15 every month but I AM going to add it this month hehehe!!! It has taken me ages to get rid of that!!

If you have been trying to get rid of it for ages i would contact them and say so and ask for refund of payments back to whenever you first asked ;) its worth a shot!!

Thanks FC, they have been very resistant to letting me change down, as I'm sure others have found! It's definitely worth trying to get some of it back! I managed to get my PPI last year.

Well for some reason I have been putting off selling stuff on Facebook for ages, put three lots of stuff on there just now (local selling page) and one lot sold within 10 minutes!

Perhaps I will get some of the much publicised problems with buyer not showing up (supposed to be coming round tomorrow) but I will remain positive and for now think, job well done - that's £28 to add when it's paid :)
