So what did you appeal with? This looks like mitigation on what happened on the day. You basically disappeared on us and didn't give us the wording. You have wasted your chance at popla !
And I told you thisYou need to appeal to them first as the registered keeper, on points like this, their systems were not working, they haven't given enough grace time because of the former, their charge doesn't represent the true pre estimate of loss, they do not have the authority to issue these invoices and so on
Once they reject come back here for help with popla. Don't do this part by yourself or you'll fail. By the way you have left all the times and dates on your post, please read my signature below on what not to show on threads. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Hi All,
My appeal to Popla was refused and the reason for assessor`s determination is as follows:
I appreciate that the Appellant did not intend to delay making payment to
park on the occasion in question. However, it remains the case that the
vehicle was parked for 60 minutes but that only 40 minutes of parking were
paid for. It was incumbent upon the Appellant to pay for sufficient time to
cover the duration of parking at the site.
I find that, by not paying for the entire duration of parking, the Appellant
became liable for a parking charge in accordance with the terms displayed.
The appeal is refused.
Could any one advise, if there any other option rather than paying £100 as I lost my appeal ?
Thanks

Putting another post up is not going to get around the fact that you wasted your chance. You have basically 2 choices
1) pay them
2) don't pay them
Both have advantages and disadvantages, first one gets rid of the problem, second runs the risk although highly unlikely that they may go for a claim against you. They have 6 years to do that. Myself I would ignore until a notice before claim is issued, and if that happens come here for help, don't do it yourself, because you tried that already and it failed. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Hi Stroma,
Many Thank for the reply,0 -
Oh dear, that was a terrible error - we very rarely see anyone say they lost and always when they didn't follow advice. You didn't come back to see 'How to win at POPLA'. Sounds like you wrote about what happened - why oh why when you were on this forum and only needed to ask or look at the sticky thread?!
I would also ignore until you get a 'letter before claim' but if you can't follow simple POPLA appeal wording advice that was on the forum already then how are you going to research to defend this (which we can help you with but you can't go off on a tangent). This is so disappointing as Stroma had already told you the score:You need to appeal to them first as the registered keeper, on points like this, their systems were not working, they haven't given enough grace time because of the former, their charge doesn't represent the true pre estimate of loss, they do not have the authority to issue these invoices and so on

Dear All,
I realised that I made a mistake by appealing at POPLA with soft worded mitigating circumstances which I shouldn't be doing. Sorry guys. In fact I was panicking little bit as I missed the email with POPLA code and checked it on just the last day. I rushed in filing the POPLA form just to avoid missing the last date and couldn't come back here. Apologies....
Many thanks0 -
You don't need to apologise to us at all , it's just frustrating sometimes on here when advice is not followed. Just remember next time. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
