Morning all,
Hope everyone is ok and staying safe.
I'm not leaving this house today for love nor money. There will be snuggles galore, cookie baking and no doubt lots of peppa pig watching.
Bubbs- I know it's already been said but I really hope you and your home is safe xSunshinemummy wrote: »

Seems like Newport is pretty badly hit in some areas with roads flooding.
Coldra M4 closed J22-24 and both Severn crossings closed - nice detour - NOT!
Reminds me of 22nd Oct 1998 - the day before I flew to New Orleans to meet my now hubby for 1st time. Was going to stay overnight at my best friend's in Manchester BUT I hadn't packed so decided to go up early next morning. The weather was atrocious so thought it better to wait.
Got shouted at over the phone "YOU - get up here NOW!"
Spent 15mins on phone and got totally told off, so much so that I packed in 10 minutes flat & made my way up there at 6pm.
Hmmmm - It took me 7 hrs to drive there (In those days 2hrs for the 170 miles was normal for me - not so many speed cameras then!). I could hardly see as rain was SO bad.
IF I hadn't got shouted at by her I'd never have made the flight as Wales ended up flooded, almost totally, many roads impassable that I'd have needed to take.
Everything ended well though - we met & were married after 10 days. Shocking both myself and everyone who knew me as we'd only met online 10 wks beforehand and I rarely did anything major on a whim + was happily single & independent. Meant to be!
Best friend phoned last weekend to once again remind me that if she hadn't insisted on me travelling up the night before, it might never have happened. :A:)
Completely mad and mental story but ahhhhh so wonderful. It sounds like it was defo meant to be xits_a_secret_66 wrote: »Morning all blowing a like a good un outside. Hope everyone safe and well this morning. Three years today since my beloved dad passed away.

Its was absolutely lashing it down, there is part of a tree in the road just outside the park but thats all i saw.
The roads are flooded just out of the park and massive puddles up on the outskirts of the industrial estate.

For anyone desperate for MTs, if you absolutely must, Milk Tray 400g has been £4 in M (price will need to be rechecked as M could end that price at any time) - and may work onto the APG into tomorrow (Monday) morning. That's assuming it doesn't get N/A. Also McVities Classic Collection 460g £3 in M - again price may update after tomorrow - if anyone's tried that already vs Sains, you may have info. as to whether it is picking up M's price?
Both MT 400g & Clas. Collec 460g are in 3 for £10 in A.;) Not v. good as comparing from £5 price and to £4 and £3 respectively, but may save a few quid. Nowhere near as good as last year's 75p eachs, but if you really must get them and have to have them this year. (Of course, it's up to you - may see T or S on £3 at some later point, so that's all a risk we all take. Or maybe now is the best to be got this year, pre-Christmas, as per vs M above.)
McVities comes up N/A vs Morries - shop done at 7pm 26th. Stick to against Sainsburys at £3 each.0 -

Purple Donkey - you mentioned there was 50p off Billingtons somewhere. Any indications as to where please? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
