Morning dudes. Hope everyone is ok in the storm.
If DP had been in his normal office (city of london) he wouldn't of had to go into work today as trains all cancelled this morning.
But he is covering for skivers in the gatwick office so still had to go in.
The journey normally takes him 1hr 15 mins.
Today it took 45 mins! Was that the wind blowing him along or no traffic because everyone is staying at home? Lol!
The storm is meant to pass here before lunch and the skies are already blue. Ill pop to sainsburys late afternoon as I want to pick up another lalaloopsy doll in the sale for an Xmas pressie. I will make sure to check the crisps again0 -
Good morning all. DW has the day off as not enough trains running.
Got to walk the dog down at the park; will see if there's any tree damage..
Heard loads of wind but seems calmer now (I think).:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Wow, so glad it's half term and I can now stay indoors till later.
Think I need to get the hair dryer out after just nipping outside to fetch 'my' bin. So much for that.Grabbed a few of the neigbours ones too and tucked them up safely against a fence. Council obviously thought it was a good idea to empty the bins and leave them exposed right beside the edge of a main road. 2 of the bins I rescued were actually out into the road already.
Thoughts are with all of you who had no choice but to venture into work today..... especially all our health care and support staff, and those out clearing our roads and getting power back on where it's lost Hope you have all stayed safe. Thoughts are with the family of the 14 year old lad lost last night. Not that I know first hand but apparently he wasn't swimming as was reported, but him and his mates had thought it might be fun to go to the sea front to watch the waves and take photos..... That's all it can take. How sad0 -
