Do you think that I could buy enough B & Q gift cards to buy this little baby!!

    http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Canadian-Ice-solitaire-brilliant-cut-1.00-carat-diamond-ring-set-in-platinum/p/06014750/

    So... the game begins!

I really wouldn't be buying jewellery at that price from Goldsmiths. Not that goldsmiths is a bad high street jeweller- I actually think it is good. But the mark up on jewellery on the high street is too high. It wouldn't cost you anything like that price from a specialist.

(If you want my view on that ring, it is beautiful. A single diamond of 1 carat size will look spectacular but I would be wary of that setting. Just 4 claws is risky for a stone that size, you really need 6.)

Think I'd set my sights a bit lower :p

I think your right, but I have never had a diamond ever and don't fancy my chances of actually getting one. He had previously promised me a diamond for my 40th, he actually bought me a diamond sewage system!!

Alas, I may just manage a pair of gold earrings, but a girl can dream, plan, plot, manipulate......... It is going to be my mission to be able to get something nice for next Christmas and be selfish and keep it!

Details Of my earlier shop. Did I get the wrong Mr M. This was my first shop without fillers.

If we’re not 10% cheaper on your comparable grocery shopping versus Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s or Waitrose we’ll give you the difference.

Due to the ASDA Price Guarantee, you're entitled to a voucher of £10.14:
