:jI am still a bit behind with the site but had to do a big shop for a party family tomorrow. Had a £2 off meat voucher for Mr T so used this against 2x750 g £4 each of minced beef and the Riverway Cumberland sausages to qualify for the 3 for£10. Paid £8 (after the coupon) but was surprised to get a price promise of £3.42 - when I checked my price promise online the meat is showing at £4 (which was the price prior to 3 for £10) and compared against Mr A at £3 , also got the baking potatoes on 2 for £4 - these compared at £2.80 against Mr A . Anyway hope this helps someone getting ready for party's in the next few days xx
A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together0 -
Just treated myself to 2 expensive mags (Cosmopolitan and Red) for £1.00 each, thanks to the metro vouchers (printed mine from the online version)
Helped to make up at £40 morries shop for my Xmas bonus voucher!! Then went to Tesco and got 2 more (treated nextdoor neighbour) Helped get to my £40, so used HH coupon, CokeZone, Alpro etc.0 -

Not in A's but T's the other day. Used a Takeaway voucher for free Pizza quite late at night, only two staff at tills. One young lady, about 20 or so, told me about 'One couple' frequently use 'up to five vouchers at a time', and 'get their shopping almost free every visit'.
'I wish I was so savvy', I thought, but the CA went on to talk about 'how sad' these people were, and 'how they must spend their lives looking for vouchers'. I was just nodding and smiling with the OH, whilst all the time thinking (apart from the obvious), it's because you people have stuck up attitudes that we few get so much for so little. If everyone was to have our mind set then glitches would be over in a day. So we must be thankful for people as ignorant and judgemental young girl.
Still, was making my blood boil :mad:
Yes, last year in Tesco, I got an SA wanting me to explain the price promise to her and how it works. She was a bit dense, and couldn't understand that it wasn't me who checked the prices, it was the price promise macine. Anyway, in the end, I told her it was odd how tesco staff did not know the rules on price promise. She said, and I quote: well, some of us pay MONEY for our shopping. We don't have to resort to vouchers!
I pitied her. As I got into my BMW and drove away.

So pleased to hear of so many people doing boxes this year. :T:T:T
Thanks, hadn't thought of that.0
