I know that some of you including Fairclaire have done this before.
Most of my stuff is ready to be boxed. Do I wrap it all so its like a surprise or just put in the box.
    Thanks

I don't wrap anything. Just put the items in the boxes. In fact I would think that wrapping might be a problem as the box contents will need to be checked in case there's any items that aren't suitable.

So pleased to hear of so many people doing boxes this year. :T:T:T

I think your find about 70% of working people in the country are paid tax credits. Its about time the minimum wage is set a lot higher. Once this is set a lot higher maybe people who slag off people on job seekers will see that living on £60 a week is a joke.

I hope I'm not missing the point here, but tax credits replaced tax allowances for families and those that qualified before do so now.
It became such a nightmare as an employer, sorting the rebates and allowances it was much easier to administer it this way .
I work for a bank and because of the lack of pay rises in recent years until recently I qualified for tax credits.....and I am not one of the lowest paid employees.

No tax credits is a sweetener for company's to pay such a !!!!!! wage. At the end of the day, anyone that gets tax credits needs it. The gov has stepped in to help family's.

About time companies paid people a proper wage.

Let's not have a barney about tax credits/benefits here please, it's happened before and will end in tears, there are other areas of MSE for these types of discussion, thanks :D

I had a text off him just past 11pm last night to say that all was ok, the strike went ahead  but all stayed safe :)

That was a conversation I wasn't having with my parents last night

That's good news I am glad they all stayed safe.
