Whether done in right or wrong way, assuring everyone of my best intention!! As I said, sometimes maybe "cheap and nasty"?
No need I feel to delete this whole thread - we've already got into a lot of info. on this one - and I'd have to move loads of lists again! If anyone feels they have to sit out, that's up to them. I'm sorry for the situation. My 'return to the thread' post this morning may, for what it's worth, answer why started at the time it was. I agree entirely with you as makes no odds to me who starts threads or not.
On the subject of useful information - Do you know if the Baileys is comparing to M yet? The OH said it's £9 a bottle today (hint hint I'd best get her some). Can I get this at A to save a further 10%? £18 at A.
Thanks in advance, Savvy. :AI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Sad that such a gesture is necessary but good on you for offering it
I did ask why a new one was started so early but i'm pretty sure the previous thread if not the one before that was also started early
I would just pefer a thread ran to 250/500 pages so that i didn't have to uodate my bookmarks so often. I could care less who starts it
Okay - a bit of fun to cheer everyone up (especially with the miserable weather):

I take it everybody here has their settings on 40 posts per page. Saves ages in looking for things and catching up.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

oh for goodness sake, all you peeps "sitting this thread out"
The thread is all about us, all of us, supporting each other, finding glitches, sharing, caring.
Whose name is on the top of thread really doesn't matter, it's the thread itself that counts.
Thankfully! The voice of an adult. I thought I was back at school for a minute there. Thank you.

It's not a beautiful poem, but it's very deep

Tea is for mugs.

A woman getting married for the fourth time goes to a bridal shop and asks for a white dress.
"You can't wear white.", the sales clerk reminds her. "You've been married three times already."
"Of course I can, I'm a virgin!", says the bride.
"Impossible," says the sales clerk.
"Not true", the bride says wistfully. "My first husband was a psychologist. All he wanted to do was talk about it. My second husband was a gynaecologist. All he wanted to do was look at it. My third husband was a stamp collector.... God I miss him!"

I'm not disappointed at all at missing out on starting a new thread. I realise it would have been a great honour to be selected but I'd have panicked as I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
Thank you to those people who thought that I may have felt left out and suggesting I start the next thread.
As for starting the next thread, all being well with the older dog, we're hoping to be on a dog holiday in order to escape the fireworks, so I definitely won't be around if a new thread is required within the next couple of weeks.
I hope I don't sound ungrateful but, if a new thread is required around Christmas/New Year, and there's no other volunteers, I would be honoured at that time provided someone could talk me through it. Hopefully, by then, the current 'family crisis' will have calmed down plus I have 2 weeks off work.
I hope they enjoy their holiday and are far enough away not to hear any fireworks. I hate this time of year for pets. Many a mickle makes a muckle.0 -

They didn't have the PP wine (sent man to look) so didn't want to try that. But thanks for the suggestion.0
