Not ungrateful zappo, it's just that Heatherlea (finder of the mega Cobra glitch) was to start the new thread. Hope she is not too disappointed as being gazumped
Good morning everyone.
I'm not disappointed at all at missing out on starting a new thread. I realise it would have been a great honour to be selected but I'd have panicked as I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
Thank you to those people who thought that I may have felt left out and suggesting I start the next thread.
As for starting the next thread, all being well with the older dog, we're hoping to be on a dog holiday in order to escape the fireworks, so I definitely won't be around if a new thread is required within the next couple of weeks.
I hope I don't sound ungrateful but, if a new thread is required around Christmas/New Year, and there's no other volunteers, I would be honoured at that time provided someone could talk me through it. Hopefully, by then, the current 'family crisis' will have calmed down plus I have 2 weeks off work.0 -

Morning all!:D
I see some folk are trying to pick a row where there isn't one once again and frankly my 7 year old shows more muturity.
Rootednomad you are well out of line and way way off the mark.
I have never targetted anyone whether online or offline. that is a massive accusation to make.
I may speak my mind and will continue to do so but this is my only ID and unlike many don't hide behind a series of AE's.
If you and your buddies wish to "boycott" this thread so be it, I won't miss any of you.
However for the good of the thread, If someone else would like to start a new thread, I will delete this one.
Sad that such a gesture is necessary but good on you for offering it
I did ask why a new one was started so early but i'm pretty sure the previous thread if not the one before that was also started early
I would just pefer a thread ran to 250/500 pages so that i didn't have to uodate my bookmarks so often. I could care less who starts it
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

lame eh?? - how so very dare you!!
right - just for you a REALLY lame one:
a guy walks into a bar and sees 3 pieces of meat hanging from the ceiling and asks "What's this all about?"
the bartender replies, "well, if you can jump up and slap the meat, you get free drinks for the rest of the night - but if you miss, you pay for everyone's drinks for the next hour. wanna go?"
"Nah" the guy replies, "the steaks are too high"
I dig, you dig, we dig, he digs, she digs, they dig.
It's not a beautiful poem, but it's very deep

A woman getting married for the fourth time goes to a bridal shop and asks for a white dress.
"You can't wear white.", the sales clerk reminds her. "You've been married three times already."
"Of course I can, I'm a virgin!", says the bride.
"Impossible," says the sales clerk.
"Not true", the bride says wistfully. "My first husband was a psychologist. All he wanted to do was talk about it. My second husband was a gynaecologist. All he wanted to do was look at it. My third husband was a stamp collector.... God I miss him!"'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

Rose, I'd say it honestly depends on the reasoning behind the party. If it's just so relations can get together who couldn't make it to the wedding then that sounds perfectly reasonable. But if it's to do with who had photos and who didn't.....sounds less about them and more about appeasing family members which it shouldn't be. Does that make sense?
If your DS and DIL aren't keen on the party then I'd leave it. Just get together and make it about all the family if that's what you want.
The party was suggested by me after the wedding so that we could have a get together for the people who werent invited ( OH's brother anf family, grandparents and cousins.) sis had a lovely t party for her silver wedding and and ds is home for weekend before Xmas so thought it would be a nice idea. It was not for the photos expecially. Will talk to DS this week and say if they dont want it I wont do it and will just do a dinner for grandparents and bil's family sat before xmas. Thanks0 -
oh for goodness sake, all you peeps "sitting this thread out"
The thread is all about us, all of us, supporting each other, finding glitches, sharing, caring.
Whose name is on the top of thread really doesn't matter, it's the thread itself that counts.
What a lovely thing to post about our thread. I do not know whats gone on but thanks midwinter for summing this thread up. Btw you were one of the first people to help me out on this thread and helping each other is what we do best here. I for one am very grateful and will be sad if kind people like RN, TM, Flo and others disappear. We all need each other xCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
For anyone looking for snakes in Blackp@@l, they had 4 packs left in the Mart@n store at 9pm last night.
I also went to the Fulw@@d store on Friday night and they had lots of the chicken fajita kits. I did 6 separate shops whilst there ie 2 chicken shops, 2 big cats and 2 beans. They seem more obliging with APGs in that store than the Blackp@@l one, especially if it's over £10.
Hope everyone has a good bargain shopping day. The weather's looking quite good for wombling with a gusty wind, just hope we don't get too much rain and the wind blows it over.0
