Following might help if you think lack of pressure is the issue. Myself and my folks have council fitted combi units..... (No inlet tap as such just to turn to cure this).... both myself and my folks had called the council out to sort lack of pressure, as shown by flashing no. on display board.... I think it's when it goes below 2.5? Which seams to happen very regularly. But it was a nightmare waiting 2 days each time, and what the engineers do is so easy it's crazy calling them out, so now we do it ourselves. Nothing we do is illegal as no gas pipes are messed with, and should defo never be either!!!
On both ours there are 2 water outlets with taps with male threaded ends (might be capped off,) about 10 inches apart under my and beside my folks boilers, and we needed a special kit flexi hose, brought from plumbers merchant, not BnQ or the likes as will be over priced! Its the same female fit each endand about 12 inches long? Have to make sure it's securely fitted and very slowly open each tap..... Pressure should slowly rise, then turn off both taps again. I leave the hose in place all the time except when we have our annual gas inspection as last year my parents flexi hose was found to be missing after theirs was done. Its a good income for the councils sub contracted firms to be called out and do whats no more than a 2 min job for them, so we think it's no wonder the engineer probably half hinched it so it wasn't there the next time Dad went to use it. Handy that I have a mate who works in sales at a plumbers merchant. :rotfl:
Please be careful if you try doing any thing like this, and if you really aren't sure, please take professional advice. (My dad is a retired gas engineer.)

Ahhhhh you are all so kind with your words of advice, THANKYOU all.
I will pass all the messages on to Dh when he gets home.
I have also read on google that it could be the pressure, I sure hope its that or the switch and not the pump.
I'll not go messing anymore as I think I reached my limits by bleeding the radiators! All of which were fine by the way and had no pressure in them as water came straight out.
Will console my little self with my asda shop that I have just done.
THANKYOU all again xxx0 -
Good afternoon everyone. Sorry to keep asking questions but was after a bit of help re: Tescos and the price promise. I am trying to do a weekly shop and also come out with a pp if possible.
1st question: can the pp only be against one other supermarket and is sainsbury's one of the comparisons?
2nd question: if you put in items that are on offer in Ts and more expensive in sainsburys does that detract from the pp?
3rd question: can you also use vouchers with your shop and still get a pp, as I have the £5 off helping hand voucher plus my cc vouchers came today and thought I could use them.
Many thanks for all your help & advice.:)SPC 11 #4450 -

I have.
After I started transferring my stash from the garage to my beer shed I put the key on to my key ring so I'm safe for now as long as there is no spare key in the house.
She keeps warning me not to get any more wine or beer as she says I have enough but I just can't help myself with all these glitches and meal deals.
Pleased to hear you have the key for now, time to think up an explanation.
Funny I am never warned not to get any more wine and beer but was told the other day not to bring any more crisps home. And told in no uncertain terms we have enough beans. I only have 8 packs.
Must admit those big bags of Doritoes are a bit awkward to store. So what do I do today walk in with 7 more bags. :rotfl:0 -
Wealthy girl yes I think you need to target a specific shop, yes items that are more expensive elsewhere will detract from your overall pp and yes you can use vouchersDebt free 6th December 2014

Well I totally screwed up:mad:. Went to tosco bought 3 finest meal deals with the wrong wine. Do you think, if I phoned them and played dumb and said Ive been overcharged, because someone had left three bottles of rose in the fridge next to the meals they would refund, or do I have to take it on the chin iykwim.
I could cry:mad:
Have you actually been overcharged? I mean did you just pick up another wine from the meal deal and have only lost out on your PP, or did you buy a wine that's not in the meal deal, meaning you have paid full price for all the items?0 -

DID you pay £10 for each meal after the discount?
If you did then all you have to do is take the 3 wines back and ask to change them to the wine you want + buy 10- pref 12 fillers to go with them - that should give you a PP.
IF you didn't pay £10 for each meal then take the whole lot back & ask them to redo with correct wine - as you wanted the meal deal for £10 - hope you had sufficient fillers last time - min of 10 but best with 12.0 -
Just been out to buy some lottery tickets for the first time in years. Day dreaming about what I'd do with the money as I'd quite like something to come along and shake up my life right now!Debt free 6th December 2014

Would that work though? Surely the whole lot would have to be refunded and re bought with the correct wine for all the discounts to apply correctly? The wine on it's own would actually go through at full price........I think?0
