Well I totally screwed up:mad:. Went to tosco bought 3 finest meal deals with the wrong wine. Do you think, if I phoned them and played dumb and said Ive been overcharged, because someone had left three bottles of rose in the fridge next to the meals they would refund, or do I have to take it on the chin iykwim.
    I could cry:mad:

Did the meal deal part actually work or did you just not get a PP for the wine, I guess you could take the wine back and ask to swap. If you have to go through Customer Service to rebuy grab sweets etc to make 10 items and ask if they would mind putting through at same time.

Hopefully you have the key with you at work. ;)

    I have.

After I started transferring my stash from the garage to my beer shed I put the key on to my key ring so I'm safe for now as long as there is no spare key in the house.

She keeps warning me not to get any more wine or beer as she says I have enough but I just can't help myself with all these glitches and meal deals.

    Nope not that either.
Dh has just spoken to our plumber friend who can't make it here till tue and its either the pump or a switch.
He will talk him through testing the switch when he gets him, otherwise it's the pump which he will do on tue.
I haven't had my heating on yet but I feel colder cos I know I can't have it on!!!
I have a fire in the lounge and a portable heater so we will be fine :)

If you have a combi and bled the radiators, the pressure will have dropped. Topping up the pressure should be straight forward.

Google the boiler number if you are not sure if it is a combi.

Is it a combi? Does the pressure need topping up?

No. It's a blooming old boiler but we have been to
D by plumber that its a really good boiler and not to get rid.
Not sure of pressure but will mention when Dh gets home. Thanks

If you got no slip at all are you sure you had 10 items. You need 10 different things as 3 of the same wine would count as 1 item etc.

Ours often fails because it doesn't have sufficient water, think we have very slow leak on couple of radiators. Is there a pressure dial? Normally should be I green area. Just have to turn the inlet on to top up. Worth a look

Following might help if you think lack of pressure is the issue. Myself and my folks have council fitted combi units..... (No inlet tap as such just to turn to cure this).... both myself and my folks had called the council out to sort lack of pressure, as shown by flashing no. on display board.... I think it's when it goes below 2.5? Which seams to happen very regularly. But it was a nightmare waiting 2 days each time, and what the engineers do is so easy it's crazy calling them out, so now we do it ourselves. Nothing we do is illegal as no gas pipes are messed with, and should defo never be either!!!
On both ours there are 2 water outlets with taps with male threaded ends (might be capped off,) about 10 inches apart under my and beside my folks boilers, and we needed a special kit flexi hose, brought from plumbers merchant, not BnQ or the likes as will be over priced! Its the same female fit each endand about 12 inches long? Have to make sure it's securely fitted and very slowly open each tap..... Pressure should slowly rise, then turn off both taps again. I leave the hose in place all the time except when we have our annual gas inspection as last year my parents flexi hose was found to be missing after theirs was done. Its a good income for the councils sub contracted firms to be called out and do whats no more than a 2 min job for them, so we think it's no wonder the engineer probably half hinched it so it wasn't there the next time Dad went to use it. Handy that I have a mate who works in sales at a plumbers merchant. :rotfl:
Please be careful if you try doing any thing like this, and if you really aren't sure, please take professional advice. (My dad is a retired gas engineer.)
