MPX mobile recycling. What can I do when they claim to of not recieved my iphone4s
:(I have sent my iphone4s to MPX (mobile phone exchange) on 01/10/13 in a padded envelope and addressed exactly as it said with the reference they gave me in their e-mail and when I got in touch with them to see how long it would be before I am paid the internet offered price of £177.00 for my iphone4s they have replied and informed me that unfortunately they do not appear to of received my phone, it is therefore lost in the post and I am to get in touch with the PO instead. That's it. I cannot believe this, I have sent the phone to them as they advise to do so and I paid up front for a new upgraded phone and I was relying on the money from my old phone to pay this off. Is there anything I can do. Now I am wondering if this company is even honest, it seems that looking on other comments about MPX, they seem to offer a lower price for phones they receive when they are sent recorded delivery, clearly they cannot deny receiving the phone, but mine was not sent recorded so could they just deny having received it, do I even have anyway of finding out? I am £190.00 out of pocket after purchasing a new mobile. I only even did this after the phone shop suggested I could upgrade, pay up front for a new mobile and then get money back for my mobile.

How do you know they haven't recieved it, it could genuinely be lost in the post.
It would appear that unless you have anything to suggest they are lying to you about not receiving it, that their advice to claim from Royal Mail is indeed correct.
They also state on the website in both the faq's and the trade in process section that they don't accept liability for damaged or lost items in transit and point out for peace of mind that royalist mail special delivery provides £500 cover.
Sadly, if you decided not to send the phone using a suitably insured option I can't see how they are to blame.0 -
I've always used Royal Mail recorded or special delivery that way the phone your sending is insured if you didn't do that I don't think there is a lot u can do tbh
Phone recycling company's send free envelopes but as said above there's no insurance that's upto you and as the free envelope isn't trackable there's no way to check if they received what you sent
