I had until the 1st of Jan and submitted it on the 29th of December

@Coupon-Mad It thought you'd hinted at delaying sending my appeal as much as possible.

I've just remembered I have got an auto-confirmation of the appeal and it makes sense that they're not in until Monday.

I think CM was suggesting not snail-mailing (in view of possible Christmas postal delays) but to send it electronically instead.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Well it's sent and was sent online.

I just had a look at the parking prankster too, I'd not seen any of his blogs. I actually had a day more than I thought according to his description of the POPLA verification code format, the code was requested the day after their letter was dated.

if you have the auto-confirmation then there is little more you can do until they are back in work and give you an appeal date, which is probably going to be in FEB 2014 or later, so pointless worrying about it now

so as the popla appeal is in and auto response indicates that it is, sit back and wait, do something else, get on with 2014 , leave it in their hands, thats all for now

    good luck

Someone must have gone in a day early because I've just received an email with a date of 7th Feb or earlier.

Thanks for all your help everyone, see you all in a month or so.
  • And don't worry, everything will be fine. Will expect to hear from you on the 8th Feb saying that your appeal has been successful!

Hi guys, I'm back to tell you all that the appeal was allowed. Thanks for your patience when I was being dim and thanks for all your help.
    Reasons for the Assessor’s Determination

It is the Appellant’s case that the parking charge notice was issued incorrectly.

The Operator has not produced a copy of the parking charge notice, nor any evidence to show a breach of the conditions of parking occurred, nor any evidence that shows what the conditions of parking, in fact, were.

Accordingly I have no option but to allow the appeal.

I'll add this to the successful appeals sticky thread.
