Not sure your valuation of your Focus is that accurate unless it is something like an ST.

Cover the hole up with gaffer tape from the inside after getting your partner to push the metal back so as to close the hole as much as possible.

Then leave it.

Now drive the car for at least another two years until it is nearly worthless and then sell for what you can get on eBay.

And it is very dangerous and illegal to drive with your view obscured.

And yes people, specifically cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians are killed due to actions similar to yours every year.

I have seen this first hand.

The only way to grow in this life is to spot your mistakes and misjudgements for what they are and learn from them.

sounds like the back bit of the 1/4 panel.. probably just a dent i would see what a backstreet bodyshop thinks.. unless youve hit it at some speed i doubt its done any real damage.as said just leave it..

or even push it out yourself (try using a rolling pin)

Lucky it was a post and not a small kid. If your windows are steamed wait until driving. Cant see =cant drive. Cant believe people need telling this.
Anyway the car might be a write off due to age. Check witha garage for cost, sounds like a simple repair. Also have you considered not repairing it? Not structural damage.

Why not clear the windows BEFORE you drive away?

If you crashed into me i would be taking photo's of your windows and calling the police to prosecute you.
