Well the higher figure (31.42%) comes from Netmarketshare, who collect their stats based on the proportion of each OS that are visiting websites that they monitor...0

Jivesinger, my money would be on Flash as a virus tool, possibly with java.
Flash gets Mac and windows, plus some linux too including a piece of android. Fairly sure I would target a larger than 20% market chunk0

Yes, one way is with a CCTV camera, video capture device, and some s/w. Pc Pro magazine (issue 228, october 2013) had an article using some Perl scripts to capture images upon motion detection. The merchants of doom and those who stand to make financial gain will say the world will end with a multitide of zero day exploits. Well zero day and any exploits only get exploited if you hit a site that has been infected AND your AV doesn't detect it.
backup, use a virus scanner, if the world does end, put the backup back on, and carry on.
If anything like W32/Blaster comes out once XP stops getting updates, users will be screwed. That spread simply by scanning for vulnerable computers using the internet. It didn't need to spread using e-mail, instant messengers, the web, or whatever else. What will your verse be?

No they won't, if they have a router/firewall, an antivirus, and if all else fails .. a backup. The first 2 of those are commonplace, the third not as common as it should be.
