airline wrecked case

Just arrived back in UK from USA with a wrecked suitcase, I have been given a form that was filled in at airport

I have to go through a company called damagedluggage.com

Is this normal and has anyone else used them

    I think many airlines now outsource their baggage services.

    Yes, perfectly normal, they should courier you a new case within a few days of you contacting them.

    We used them, they came and picked up suitcase and few days later a new one was delivered.

    An Update

    I received a replacement case today so it was very quick but the replacement is a joke, it is very poor quality and it was to replace an Antler.

    I have emailed damagedluggage.com and will see what they say

    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
