Call credit amend urgently needed

  • The frustration goes on. Today they got a pin in the post from Call Credit and have been able to see a Call Credit report online. There is nothing adverse showing except their "score". My daughter's is showingas 2 and her husband's as 3. No information as to why? How can a problem get addressed if no information is given? Trying to call Call Credit my daughter was spoken to very badly even though as far as they are aware they have no debts?

Did you add the other address when setting the account up
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

They put all the info on as they have no bad credit to try to hide

They have now received a pin today and been able to look online - only problem there is that there is nothing showing as negative except the score. My daughters is showing as 2 & my son-in-laws showing as 3 If they can not find what the call credit problem is how can they go about fixing it?
Maybe they will now just have to wait to see if they can get any more info in the post that may give them a clue ?

My daughter has emailed to them (& will post to them) a letter from son-in-laws previous landlord stating he owes him nothing plus copies of all utility bills & letters received when the bills were moved from previous address to present and also his phone bill. It just seems a long waiting game to even find out what the problem may be with Call Credit ?

It wont be the landlord, more of a credit with another provider

  • Thanks for the response. They just thought that as they have been unable to view anything that could be adverse and have no knowledge of anything adverse the quickest way to get it sorted may be to show evidence of paid bills -rent -electric -gas -phone.
They had been pointed towards son-in-laws previous address but have no knowledge of anything amiss so just trying to cover all they can. It is just a mystery to them and they may not get the house they want due to this Call Credit problem. Experian & Equifax perfect. Call Credit problem? Problem so far unknown.

The problems with that are (1) My daughter is bank staff arranging a staff mortgage
If she receives a preferential rate, HMRC will tax her upto its "benefit in kind" rate of 4%, so this may not be the benefit she thinks it is.

  • Thanks for the message she is aware of the tax situation but it would still be the prefered place. Also having had so many credit checks done recently they have been advised that makes things look bad if they tried somewhere else. They have been told when checks are done it doesn't record why but makes it look as though you are scratching around for credit.

  • They have had several searches due to trying for new Gov backed 95%
scheme and although being accepted by a couple they could not get appointments for over a month. Lloyds were the only bank that could get them a fast appointment. Now if they can not get their mortgage with Lloyds will all the other bank searches have damaged their credit for others who accepted them on initial search?
