:j Thanks for all the tips! Should I worry about the lack of fruit and veg or not? He sometimes has half a banana and 6 bites of an apple every 3 weeks!:j

Dont worry too much about how much he is getting as long as he is getting his vitamins in plenty of other foods!!!

try talking to your health visitor??

    good luck

If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?:D

Can you breathe out of your nose and mouth at the same time?

Why don't the hairs on your arms get split ends?
  • i'd try checking for back teeth (fraught with danger though!!). my boy is 22 months old but has always got his teeth early. he's got a big appetite and i was worried when he first lost his appetite but it was just a back tooth coming through. he's cutting his 3rd back tooth now and has stopped eating again, yet he seems to have as much energy as usual. he still has milk at breakfast and bed so he won't starve.

the other thing i wondered about that might be causing night waking is daytime naps - does he still have one, and is it time to stop? sometimes they wake up during the night because they've had as much sleep as they need, my eldest did this and the health visitor told me he wanted to drop his daytime nap. she was right (unfortunately, because he was only 17 months old at the time!).

if your son has never been keen on fruit or veg it may be worth talking to a health visitor and possibly a dietician, but if this is just a blip in an otherwise healthy appetite then he will probably be okay. with the back teeth i've noticed that my son doesn't want to chew, he's turning down apple and also toast.
