Thanks. That means you should ignore any advice that tells you to ignore this. :D

Follow the advice above ... the POPLA process is your friend, to make this go away, if you do and say the right things. :)

Ive only had the windscreen fine so far, this was yesterday. I'll await the letter through the post first and then email them.

I'd fire emails off straight away.

Tell the BPA to get the PCN cancelled as there were no entrance signs so therefore non compliant with THEIR CoP (send them the photo of entrance).

Tell the DVLA that the PPC is not complying with the BPA CoP and therefore has no cause to request your details, and you require that they refuse the issue of any of your data to the PPC. Send them the entrance photo too.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out. But you need to crack on with this and maybe you can nip it in the bud.

Let us know how it proceeds.

You definitely need the photo, otherwise your emails will be pointless.

    Right, emails sent.

I had a good read through the BPA CoP. There is also a section titled "contrast and illumination" that talks about the importance of lighting. So I also attached a photo showing the lack of it and it demonstrates why I easily did not spot the signs stating the need for a permit.

I will keep you all posted, and if successful will post my email for future use.

    UPDATE:

This was my response from an investigation done by the BPA:

"This company is not a member of the British Parking Association. It is using similar type tickets and layout. I am unable therefore to advise further on this, except to state that if this company ids not a member of our Accredited Trade Association, they should not be able to obtain the registered keeper details from the DVLA"

So basically the ticket had CMS limited on it as well as a company called Mservices. The fine is still meant to be paid to CMS. CMS however have denied all responsibility to that specific car park. The chap who dealt with my case was very helpful and explained that there is a points system and penalties if companies do not abide by the code of practice (max points 12). Whether that's got anything to do with CMS denying everything I don't know.

Nonetheless I haven't received any letter yet asking for payment.

I would like to thank you all for your help.
