a thumbs up for Nokia service

Credit where it's due. I was attempting to update the firmware (using PC Suite and the Nokia web site) on DD's 6630 when it suddenly went off for no apparent reason (battery fully charged etc) and update failed. Phone then refused to show any sign of life whatever.
The phone was purchased and registered in Nov 2005. I found an address on the Club Nokia site where it gave a Freepost Address to send your phone back, if it needed repair, so I packed it up, sent it off and back it came 4 days later good as new (well, actually, thereby hangs a tale, it was "new" in that it had a new IMEI number and was relocked :eek:). It seems Nokia guarantees are for 2 yrs. I don't know if that was the case when DD bought it but they honoured it and my repair seemed to go much quicker than someone I know who left theirs at a shop to be sent away.
So.. three cheers to Nokia !:T :j - in this instance anyway!
