Because if someone received that email and was not knowledgable about these things they may google either the email address or email subject. That would point them to this thread and confirm to them it's was a scam.

Just a body of text provides no easy reference for people to find this thread.

It doesn't affect me as I wouldn't fall for this but if you really wanted to be helpful it's what you should do.

I don't believe any one would search as you suggest prior to opening an e mail - Certainly not those who would fall into this trap.

Yes what you've done is helpful but the problem is that if someone received that email to find your advice they would have to google very specific terms to find this thread.

The key things that people google to see if something is a scam are. 1) email address
2) email subject

Both these things are absent from your warning.

As it costs you absolutely nothing to add the email address and subject I assume you are just being difficult. That is fine but it seems strange to not want to be as helpful as possible.

3 of these stories specifically say that credit card details were not taken and in the first one only encrypted credit card data was taken which would be useless.

Like many others(?), I would rather not take the risk, however small you may think it is.

There is no need for insults. As I have explained, IMHO it would serve no value. I was trying to be helpful. One can only speculate on your motives for commenting on my post.
