Hi all
Just to make people aware if you are not already that if you own a delightful iMac apple are via their app store offering the upgrade to mavericks osx completely free of charge:j as opposed to previous updates which were around £20 in previous years
The upgrade is superb and no i dont work for apple or any associated company;)
I have had my iMac now for almost three years and its the best PC i have ever purchased despite it costing me over a grand at the time. The additional cost compared to spending hour upon hour with a windows based pc repairing it upgrading it etc was worth every single penny and more
If you are able to do yourself a favour and buy a mac and free up your life from the perils of windows you seriously won't regret it
Been completely pc problem free for so long now thinking about my windows days just gives me cold sweats!!
Enjoy folks

Unfortunately it has been widely revealed that Mavericks is a beitch of a dog. (I think that's what they said.)0

Not for me I'm pleased to report0

Really? Three whooshes over three heads. I am disappointed.0

I think the whoosh was related to Mavericks being (indirectly) named after a dog called "Maverick" .. :-)
I've upgraded here, and yes I do think this is the smoothest upgrade yet with no problems to report, but plenty of welcome additions.0 -
Ah I see.
Named after a place that was named after a dog. Or so Google tells me.
Definitely a whoosh

My MacBook is doing the upgrade at the moment, I'll be doing the iMac after I've tried it out. I was talking to friend on Facetime an hour or so ago and he did his last night, I'd got better things to do and was at the pub.
