Shelbi, check post 8 now - I obviously didn't save my changes earlier but it's there now! Lovely to have you on board!
So how is everyone doing today?? Curious as to how you have all gotten on over the last 12 hours or so. Hubby and I went out for a walk and I do have a tip for you.....although you need nerves of steel for this one. We took a long metal ruler with us and ended up on our hands and knees fishing coins out from underneath the coinstar machine! Try it if you're brave enough! We have come home 33p richer this evening. And yes, I was quite prepared to have store security come have a chat with us!Although they didn't!
However, the best news is that we are £5.83 up on wombled receipts today with another 2 to check in about an hour - now THAT is cool!!!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Oh we cross posted Shelbi!
All went as well as it could go with Yodel.....and even though the package has been promised for tomorrow, I won't be holding my breath and you should probably feel sorry for that manager if I get home tomorrow and it's not here......I am not having the best of weeks at work so my frustrations have been borne out down the telephone line! Thank heavens for roadkill!! It gives me something else to focus on and obsess about!

Nothing during my lunchtime run, although I was so busy trying to avoid running into people I wasn't able to look out for roadkill.
Later on I found a shiny 20p coin by the checkout in Sainsbury's.
Tomorrow I am determined to find more roadkillAttempting to make £2021 in 20210 -
Keep looking muhren - more will come to you!
Emma, I don't know about you but I really love finding 20pence pieces. They always make me smile......of course even pennies make me smile! Well done on your find. Often coins are literally staring you in the face but if you're not looking, you miss them - this thread is about breaking that habit so that you actively see them. They are everywhere! Hubby made me laugh last night.....there he was on his hands and knees checking out underneath the coinstar and there was a penny in plain view right next to him.....which of course I snagged!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Well today is the 7th which marks a full week into the challenge. How are you doing so far? Is it getting easier to find coins? Do you have places to look that you know are a good bet? Keep working at it - it does get easier. Your friends will soon be gobsmacked when you're picking up coins every time you are out together......either that or mortified! Just remember that pennies add up and if you're actively looking for coins, you have a good shot of finding paper!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0

I love reading this thread, it makes me laugh so much! I don't think I would ever be brave enough to get on my hands and knees to check under the Coinstar!
2 pennies found in Tesco yesterday and a penny found on my way to work this morning which has cheered me up!0 -
I can't remember if I signed up for this but on the paths I use I never see any money lying around either people round here are as skint as me or it's already been picked up lolSquirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0

Not got a favourite place yet though stations and shops seem to be my best bet (I am keeping a rigorous spreadsheet on location, date and amount of find and will post it at the end :rotfl:).
My family were amazed at how much I've managed to find in the past two weeks! In the past week alone I've found 1% of my debt(doing that 100 ways to make 1% challenge too.)
I also find that Abba song creeps into my head whilst searching, "money money money..."!!
