'How to win at POPLA' is a link in the 'Newbies read this first' sticky thread, near the top. Show us your draft POPLA appeal and DO NOT name the driver nor imply who was driving.

Got it. Thanks and Nope, I won't then.

    Thanks:beer:

  • Hi All - just wanted to update to say that I did send of my POPLA Appeal AGES ago (feel's like ages ago anyway!) I had a reply saying I would hear a decision on or around the 11th Feb and only just heard today
The Assessor has considered the evidence of both parties and has determined that the appeal be ALLOWED.

The Assessors reasons are as set out.

The Operator should now cancel the parking charge notice forthwith.

    REASONS FOR THE ASSESSOR'S DETERMINATION

It is the Appellant's case that the parking charge notice was issued incorrectly.

The operator has not produced a copy of the parking charge notice, nor any evidence to show a breach of the conditions of parking occured, nor any evidence that shows what that conditions of parking, in fact, were.

Accordingly I have no option but to allow the appeal

So I am reading that as Excel Parking not even bothering to send any thing in relating to the appeal so in theory not contesting my appeal!?

Either way WIN WIN for me!

YEY - Big thanks to all the guys on here who offered me (and others) advice and help!!

    Well Done :)

Another parking company not even bothering with popla at all, this is proving to be a concerted effort from them. We need to be keeping track of this I think.

    A bad spelling of FOIR.

Now you may think FOIR is FIRE said in an Irish accent, but it isn't.

And FIOR isn't the catchword in Arthur Brown's crazy world either.

In fact it is Freedom Of Information Request.

POPLA don't do FoIs as they prefer to operate on a commercial basis, paid for by the BPA Ltd, and in secret.
