Hi was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my situation.
Stove was running fine until I got chimney swept, now takes me a lot longer to get fire going and up to temperature. I looked outside at my chimney and Im sure the smoke exited 2nd cowl but now seems to be coming out of 1st cowl. Could I be wrong??? When stove was fitted also had liner fitted.

Could be a few things !
Sometimes if the stove hasn't been used for a while you can get what we call cold chimney, the chimney itself gets cold and cold chimneys / flues don't draw very well at all until they have warmed up.
Could be the sweep has put the baffles back slightly misaligned, or the top of the baffle inside the stove wasn't cleared of ash and soot.
The weather affects the draw a lot also.
Only thing that concerns me is that you say you think the smoke might be coming out of a different flue / cowl ? To rule things out I would get the sweep back or get another sweep to inspect the flue / stove and possibly do a smoke test as well to determine which stove does the relevent cowls. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Thankyou for advice Muckybutt. Stove fine once its got going. The cold chimney theory does sound right. Ill get chimney inspected to be on safe side :beer:0
