Heating Advice

Good afternoon.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this thread.
We are currently in a rented house. We have oil heating installed and radiators in every room. Our house is basically an L shape with hall in the longer part of the house where the three bedrooms are. Our problem is that that hall doesn't have any radiators in it. It has an old 9KW storage heater in it but we are not on economy 7 and wouldnt change just for the sake of that one heater. It wasnt so much of an issue before but now we have a new baby in the house we want to keep the place as warm as we can. I know that we have this cold middle core of the house which is negating the heating in all the rooms. The area is about 1m*6m*2.4m and i am trying to figure out what the best and most cos effective way of heating that area would be.
Thanks in advance
