Morning everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Wet underfoot and windy but mild here this morning.
DH up and getting ready for work - no stupid early start today, he's making the most of it - whilst it lasts!
Dinner last night was a complete disaster - hairdresser came and I had got everything prepped before she arrived, she got the bleach on my hair and that then needs 40+ minutes - in that time she cuts the menfolks hair whilst I got the roast pots on the go etc. Mis-calculated and put the meat in the oven to early and by the time we were ready to eat the meat was inedible - DH had a real a right strop about how stupid I am to try to cook that sort of dinner when hairdresser is coming etc, and that he then wasn't going to eat a dinner without "meat". I offered sausages as the meat had to be binned - that wasn't right. So I just said that I only had sausages if he wanted those that's fine but the choice was that, just veggies or nothing. I then use the tactic of going very quiet - I was completely livid last night as he was completely over the top and I it's just like having 3 kids not 2 and an adult, he's such a man baby at times. I've been completely off with him as it just wears you down and I feel I put up with far more than I should and you just get to the point where you've had enough, (although I get pushed to this point quite regularly unfortunately). After this he then "!!!!! foots" around me, being all so attentive and overly "nice" - I'm afraid it just doesn't wash with me anymore and I just go very quiet and go off and do my own thing within the home. Rant over ............and breathe .................! Dinner tonight will be beef casserole at least I may be able to get that right!
Work yesterday was another busy day - think it was the catch up from not being very busy Monday morning! Only working until lunchtime today - then on days off - have shed loads to do as going away on Friday morning - how I feel at present could quite cheerfully pack him off on his own and stay here on my own/with the kids but then feel why should I miss out.
Keep safe and well x

Morning
Tru - rather than struggle through all the tariffs, sign up to MSE Martin's Cheap Energy Club. You enter a few details (your current supplier/tariff and how much energy you use) and out pings your best options. Best of all, it keeps an eye on the market and alerts you if you could be getting energy cheaper. I'm in the process of changing after it told me mine could be cheaper.
Not raining just at the moment in the hills, but it was rough in the night. Hope it is not flooded at the bottom of the hill else getting to work is going to be interesting! Cats fed, so I just have to investigate the freezer to decide what to have for supper tonight.

Morning all,
we took our time getting up today & DH has only just set off to work. He has flexi-time and it has meant he can continue working on days when, on set hours, he would probably have had to cry off. The new tablets have slowed his heart rate a bit, which is good, but he feels 'spaced out' at times which annoys him.
I put a yellow stickered brisket joint into the slow cooker last night. I hope to get 3 meals out of it (one being stovies) but it looks a bit tiny now.
Raining again and quite grey, but not the storms that were predicted - unless I slept through them.
Have as good a day as you can xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Morning ((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Thank you for all the messages yesterday, OH was dopy for most of yesterday, he stayed in bed until just after 3pm, then I got him downstairs, he had his supper but then started to fall asleep again so he was back to bed.
I will get him up later this morning after I have been to the library van to pick up new books.
Feeling tired myself, just crossing fingers that I do not get a fibro flare up, can do without it just now.
Thanks for the tip re Martins energy thingy, we will finish our fixed term contact in April, I will be looking to change fro SSE......when we moved earlier this year we were half way through a fixed term which they agreed to transfer to our new house.....prices will go up with a wump once its finished.
It was quite bright and sunny when I got up, but is clouding over, hope that does not mean a storm, its going very dark.
Off to give OH more coffee...cheers........0 -
Hi everyone,
NMLC, I'm sorry you were subjected to that, my dad could be very volatile and irrational so I know what it's like - I made very sure that DH wasn't like that at all before I married him.
Mixed results on the os front yesterday, on the one hand I saved a cauli that was starting to develop black spots by turning it into caulifower cheese and freezing it, but on the other, apart from a bit of sewing that was all I did. Will try to do better today.

morning all.
off work at the moment and will be popping in a bit more. dont know where to start the moment. life is incredibly hard for me. had an op on my arm on monday and was recooperating from that when my back went and i cant move. although its a bit better today but for two days ive been lying flat. my daughter turned 16 in august and she was my angel. my shadow and have never had a minutes problem with her. she was my best friend. she went to school one day... shouted love you mum and she never came back. with frantic phone calls to school.. social services and police etc there is nothing i can do. shes living with a boyfriend ( who i didnt know exsisted) and shes safe so theres nothing i can do. her big sister is at uni ( 19 in jan) and she lives up there with her boyfriend. he has a full time job with long hours and they run a flat and shes settled and happy. i think the 16 year old thinks thats shes the same. my ex has stopped my maintenece and ive stopped my child benifit cos i dont want to be in trouble for claiming something i shouldnt. im still having to pay her bus fees which are about 70 per month and i was sending money to school for her lunches and putting money into her bank account and paying her phone. from now on she gets no money apart from bus fees and phone.im a good mum and standards are important to me. ive looked after my children well. i cant beleive this has happened to me. when i call her she doesnt answer and when i text her she only ainswers if im offering money. one day she took tampax off me and money for tampax from her dad and me on the same day.my ex is a t@at and does everything to pull against me. moan over xx0 -
Had a storm here last night as well but we had thunder with the lightening.
It has stayed dry this morning with a hefty wind so I have the washing on the line blowing away, it is actually nearly dry so I will bring it in soon and put it on the new heated airer, I will let you know how good it is later. I have the hospital at 1.15 pm so I must get on and get in the shower.
