PCN issued by NCP today

I quick piece of advice please - just a bit confused after reading this thread. Today I was issued with a parking contravention charge notice by NCP for allegedly causing an obstruction or hindrance. I had a valid ticket and took a photo to prove that not causing an obstruction.

What should I do next?
a) nothing
b) appeal as registered keeper

Notice says fine reduced from £75 to £50 if paid with 14 days

Thanks

Was this in England and Wales or Scotland and NI? That would be the deciding factor between your options. There is no confusion on current advice.

If England, you have them on not offering a 40% discount apart from anything else.

Post your picture, removing the reg no, on tinypics, then put the link (minus the http//:) on here for opinion.

Oh, and wait for NtK (Notice to Keeper)
  • thanks for advice.

Was at a railway station in England. I am not sure how to remove reg but parked in a row of cars. No yellow lines to suggest could not park there.

What do I do when notice arrives?

    Same as everyone else does:

And before someone posts about byelaws can I says that NCP DO NOT ISSUE PENALTIES UNDER ANY BYELAWS, EVEN AT RAILWAY STATIONS.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi all, had a pcn from ncp today, we were told by the traffic wardens that as we had a disabled badge we could park all day in any space, only on return to the car did we see the ticket and realise that about 9 spaces were NCP, I approached the traffic warden and he said it was nothing to do with him. How have others got on, read all about ignoring the letters, do ncp ever follow through on their threats x

No idea what you are talking about as this is not a 'Traffic Warden' and more importantly, we haven't told people to ignore these fake PCNs for the best part of a year. What wasted hours you have just spent, reading ancient advice to ignore - unless this was in Scotland. And you've posted on someone else's thread.

Please read the current advice starting with the NEWBIES thread:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Get up to speed with the right advice first before starting a new thread of your own there. No more talk of ignoring this whole thing, unless you are in Scotland/NI of course. Read the sticky info threads at the top and learn what to do to appeal when the first postal Notice arrives in 2014!
