I received another letter from pe today informing me that "as a gesture of goodwill" they are cancelling the charge.
I'd just like to thank everyone on this thread for their help and input especially daisy whose letter obviously made them realise that I wasn't going to back down.0 -
And another one bites the dust!
Thanks for coming back to tell us the outcome Andrew, it makes it all worthwhile :beer:I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Well done Andrew, and thanks for the update. As Daisy says, it gives us valuable feedback that we are continuing to give sound and workable advice, as well as motivating us for another 'day at the office' tomorrow! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Glad this has been sorted for you Andrew987 - no doubt with Daisy's scary letter they knew they did not stand a chance! "Goodwill gesture" LOL0 -
Pardon my ignorance but why can't such a letter be produced in court?zzzLazyDaisy wrote: »Which is exactly why they make the offer to settle in a WoP letter - because it cannot be produced to the court, so the defendant can't complain about it.0
