Well my D500 was no longer in use so i changed the case and made it look new. Then i dicided to have a go and flash it. I used a serial cable and a 9v battery, Full charge and yey it worked. I then did the time to look round the new firmware but on the website and folder it came with had a load of themes and i didnt know how to transfer them(until i realised there was a folder called documents or something for use with pcstudio) so on the flashing program i put one of them in the flash box to flash the phone with(:( stupid!!!) any it wont come back on at all. Plugged into charge...pc.. nothing... any advice or is it totally dead?
Thanks
Thanks

Inside the phone there is a small "bios" battery, open phone and short this battery for a few seconds to clear it..
This worked on a phone with a similar problem that I repaired a while ago0 -

Cant quite see it properly but it doesnt look like anything has come off it just looks like the left hand metal connection has bent, this should be able to be pushed back down with not a lot of force so it doesnt snap, the battery lookis like it has lifted out slightly so everything should be reset and working.0

But i havnt shorted anything or so on?..
I have tried both my cameras and i cant get a good shot of it.
Its the metal connection from the bottom has come off. It will press down back onto where it was.. But then comes back when i let go.
here is my best example

You will just have to put a tiny bit of solder on it when its pushed down, seen as the bottom piece of the connector not touching the board then this should have shorted it and will work. If you feel unsure about it then take it to your local phone shop, they will have a ll the equpment needed and if you take it there with the phone already apart they shouldnt charge you for it as its a few seconds job.0

ahh. I dont think i would be able to get some of that

I should invest in some really. How about super glue?
I think i would ruin it if i used that? Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0
