I'm well in to my budget for January with 20 days to go until payday  As I'm planning on reducing my budget to £200 (from £250 in November) I'm thinking about just taking that cash out and shopping using cash only for food.
I normally like to use a credit card so I can earn extra Clubcard points, but I don't want to forget to transfer money or overspend by not keeping careful track.

I've been AWOL from here for weeks but I have been keeping track! Just need to add on a couple of receipts. I didn't allow extra for Christmas so will have gone over a little.
Edit-not gone over!!! Still under £50 pw for three adults and 3 pets! I also fed 10 on Christmas Day!:j:j:j:j:jAnnual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

I've set up Direct debit to pay mine off in full each month. They are useful if used very carefully. Knowing it will be paid in full stops you overspending too as you know it will all come out of the bank to pay it off soon!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

Its cash everytime for me, in a separate purse, its so easy to keep track of. as whats in the purse is whats left and easy to see if its going down too quickly, When I used my card I was forever forgetting a spend or 2 or 3 so never really knew where I was, now I know to the 1p what I have spent.Slimming World at target0 -
Meal planning all the way in January! Love bringing in a new year, always feels so full of hope for what's to come!
I'll go for £100 please, inc all food and cleaning stuff etc. If I buy it from the supermarket, it's included in the budget!
Here's to a fab & frugal January! My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

Hi everyone! Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas!
This is my first time on here in just over a week, and am here to declare my final December spends as January starts today for us....
Total GC spend for December is £157.93, from a budget of £210!!!! It helped that the last 6 days we have been stayed at both sets of parents parents, but we did contribute food/drink/coupons/vouchers/lifts to the shops to what we consumed, that was all from the budget though. So pleased!! We had decided to treat my parents to a takeaway tomorrow night, so the money that we saved will pay for that, with hopefully some left over!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
