Hello, I'd like to be in this month, please can you put me down for £200

I really need to get a handle on my budget going forward and my grocery budget is the first place I need to tackle.

I have attempted this so many times but I get sidetracked that I need to concentrate on this one thing only until it becomes an habit.

    Many thanks.

I'm going to count my loose coin jars and use my nectar points on top of my normal £280 budget. I have £24 in points and around £70 in the jars at an estimated guess

I'll also add whatever I have saved from this months, I'm trying desperately not to spend it all :o

I didn't realise this thread was already up so posted on the old one!

My budget this month is £270 (used some of the money I saved last month to add in some money for Christmas treats!) and my month starts today as it's payday :D

My month starts on the 22nd, and I haven't finalised the Christmas budget yet as still haven't confirmed plans.

Can I please say £150 (can I change this later if needed?)

  • hi thats an excellent idea to use nectar points and cash in pennies...we did our jar in oct and there was £70 in there we dragged it all to the bank as i think coin machines have a cheek taking a cut off the top...easier than carrying a dead weight to a bank i suppose

sending dh to buy some lamb from local farm shop today so will stash that in freezer for a meal for guests over christmas...was thinking about drinks for the big event yesterday will clear a space on work top i think and peeps can acess them...will also puruse the wine shelves in aldi on wed

    take care tess

My December budget starts from 24th November but I'll be ending my month on 20th December as going away for Christmas and New Year. I'm going to keep to my usual budget of £250 even though it's a few days short of a month but I still want to buy a few christmassy foods to take with us (although certainly not cooking a turkey in a motorhome, LOL!).

Will also be trying for 12 NSDs during that month.

  • I'll join in again please, my budget starts from the 28th as thats DH's payday. I'm going to increase my budget slightly, even though I am on target for coming in underbudget this month as I will have to stock up for January as much as I can. It looks like I wont be working much that month.......

So please put me down for £200

  • Afternoon all, Cant believe we're planning December already. where has the year gone!?!

Coxy- can I be put down for £300 please.

we're having our meat hamper delivered on 2nd December, so we've being making room and eating out the freezers. the extra this month is to top up the cupboards and freezers and avoid the shops altogether between 24th and 2nd. we get very little time to spend at home as a family and i'd rather not spend it dragging everyone round the shops

haven't done a meal plan for December yet will be in the next week or so

Huge thanks to all who help run the thread and good luck to all
    Happy December all!! :xmassmile
