Have the lurgy as well so very snotty here too, sympathy to all suffering! Have spent £4.00 on day one when local co op reduced their £3.50 steak pies to £1 each which will make an easy meal for in the week (two for me they are huge!) Have made some end of the week soup with parsnips, cauli, curry paste and a potato for tonight with some YS freezer rolls. End of last weeks bacon cut offs from sainsbugs has become a spag carbonara for tomorrow and just considering what to do with half a cabbage, half a tin of beans and a few ounces of cheese? this for Monday would cut need to go out in the horrid weather.
Will need bread and milk tomorrow so will try and meal plan and shopping list for then.
Will see if I can change my sig

  • Couple of spends over the last few days but don't have receipts for all so having to guestimate. First had to pop to Mr T's so spend of £11.08 there, £1.50 at wilkos on loo roll and about £2.80 at the market on fruit and veg. Still need to do my weekly shop as well so not doing as well as I'd like.

    Will update sig now.

Spent £15.52 today mainly on fruit & veg. Picked up a bag of reduced parsnips for 64p and thought about soup but then remembered had a leek or two in that needed using up so put them back down.
Leek now used up in leek & potato soup for tomorrow.

Hope peoples colds and flu clear up quickly.

We spent £71.59 today. I'm hoping to go on a fiscal fast this week, using up with what we have in the cupboard. £528.41 left this month.

No problem, you could add the cheese too, forgot about that. Hope they turn out and nobody notices the sausages.

Today was a bad spending day. I went out hungry and stressed and spent £17.23 on what feels like hardly anything. I got coffee, vegetable sushi, sandwich meat, geef grills, breaded cheese, bread, yoghurt, squash and a few toiletries.
