Old brick septic tank - plastic lid an option?

Hi,
I have an old septic tank in the property which is made from brick.
The large stone paves on the top have cracked under their weight as the metal and wood supports under them have eroded and given way.
I was going to get some reinforced concrete posts and gravel boards to lay over it.
However, I wondered if there are any plastic heavy duty support beams and flat panels that would take the support on the lid to totally replace the heavy stone slabs?
I'm thinking of the type the utility companies use to cover holes - can these be bought by the public??
Will they erode in the harsh septic tank environment?
Cheers
Rick

FYI, I found that they are called Trench Covers, seem to come in two sizes but are pretty expensive, I opted for reinforced concrete.0
