To be fair all smart TVs are pretty rubbish they have limited support and they drop features without warning. Also don't expect new services on older models. As for security they are pretty safe as they have a very closed operating system you can't really download anything to them.
Francesanne - 'Panasonic Viera Smart TV' is not a model. Smart TVs are a minefield, and just because your Panasonic has some features, doesn't mean that the one billyolly is looking at does. You both need to quote the Model Number of the TV to make your posting relevant and helpful.
I would recommend Panasonic TVs as a brand IN GENERAL as they give a good picture.
