Does anyone know the process? Im moving from infinity to talk talk fibre and can see lots of info on migrating adsl services but nothing on a fibre to fibre move.
Is it just a case of swapping routers? Does it need another enguneer visit to the house or just the exchange? Anybody know?

My parents just swapped from Infinity to sky fibre and it was seemless. No engineer visit, just changed the router and it worked from about 10 past 1 in the afternoon.
Sky did advise of an engineers appointment but no one was neede or indeed turned up. There was also no mac code requested.0 -
Excellent thats good to hear. I did hope that was the case as it seems a bit pointless reverting back to adsl only to then upgrade a week later again (kind of a dig a hole then go back and fill it approach).
Ill find out for sure tomorrow but its noce to hear someone who has been through it already as there seems little info about it anywhere that i could find.0 -
well the internet went off just after midnight when the phone moved to TalkTalk. No internet since.
I always assumed that the phone and fibre broadband would have been done together butbi guess not. No idea what is happening no, don't know if in waiting on openreach guy at the exchange or if there is a problem. Anyone experienced this before?0 -
Do you still have telephony albeit with TT and not BT , ( did you keep the same number or get a new number from TT ?)..if you do now have TT telephony then the work in the exchange to change from BT to TT has been done, the work to change the broadband I would imagine is done in software, as there is no need to visit the fibre cabinet or your home, so if TT broadband isn't working you need to contact them and ask what's going on0

It all came back on about 18:00. The phone switched over at 1am which i wasn't expecting but it seems to have all worked out in the end.0
