Hi All,
I initiated a switch to npower on 13th October and received an email saying "Thank you for choosing npower" and that they'll be in touch in due course. Ive not heard anything more yet but can anyone tell me how I can find out what the prices were that were in place at the time so that I can be sure they haven't hiked them when the actual switch takes place?
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE:
I found npower's full list of open and closed tariffs on their web site:

well it does these companies no favours. i alway not who was the first to introduce and the next couple to follow when it comes to price rises.
for that i'd never ever use BG as they are always on of the first.
npower had up to now been on my list of least to hike.
but not anymore! they hiked up their prices less that 12 months ago. so thats them struck off too.
They haven't been the first to rise prices in the last 4 years.
In fact, the only thing BG have been first for, was to lower prices early last year.0 -

It was OVO, actually.0 -
It stands to reason that if all the energy companys act as sheep , then swopping , and using comparison sites , really , isnt going to save a great deal , surely ?
Its like trying to buy a pack of 20 embassy number 1 for the cheapest price , you would only ever save 20p or so because all the supermarkets work together to fix the price
Politicians and their ilk urging people to switch etc , annoys me , if all of them are putting prices up ,where the hell are you supposed to switch to ? and really , what`s the point ?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

Using them makes it worse. Uswitch and co must get a commission for transferring the customer. And who do you think funds that commission in the long run.0 -
I see that Npower's long term fix is now until December 2017 - at a slightly higher cost than the March fix I recently signed up to. Does this include today's announced price increase?0

I applied a while back when it was advertised, I got the confirmation And an up to date bill on Friday, ( but a huge 2x monthly payments jump, which is apparently a glitch in the system) the new price applied from 25/9/2013 which is around the date I applied, it's about 2p per kWh more for electric, so basically they've applied this latest price rise, so hopefully the next 4 years increases will net a saving.
Personally I'll boycott any advertising/sponsorship by any energy company or bank.0 -
A lot of people above asked if NPower ware still honouring fixed price contracts entered into the last couple of weeks
I just called them up (enduring the typical 30 minute plus wait )
They told me that they were going to send me out the contract for my switch fix which I did on Thursday evening last week
So it looks, at least for my fix (12 month), that they are sticking to the terms applied for
Whether this applies to other tarriffs I don't know0
