iPhone 5S Orange /EE.....
This maybe helpful for those looking to get a new iPhone 5S & also wanting 4G data.
I have been until recently an Orange customer for about 15 years & so had built up maximum loyalty discount (currently their max of 25% discount).
I was on a monthly contract but used to sell my free upgrade phone they gave me (Nokia or Samsung) on eBay to offset monthly costs & just bought an iPhone for cash via local free ads paper where people we're selling their 'unwanted free upgrade'.
This worked out much cheaper than getting a contract on an iPhone, as historically iPhone monthly contracts were not only expensive but also came with really poor bundles (mins, texts & data).
So it was to my surprise when my Orange contract came to opt for early upgrade & I called their 'Customer Retentions' dept to be offered the following deal:
- Change over to EE from Orange (mother company of Orange / t-mobile)
- Waive remaining 2 month buy out cost on current contract
- iPhone 5S 16gb
- Unlimited texts
- Unlimited minutes
- 10gb 4G data[/B][/B]
Usual cost (see EE website) £46 p/m & £49 for handset.
However with 25% discount they offered me £34.50 p/m which if you add the £49 handset cost (£49 divided by 24 months = £2.05) works out at an actual cost of £36.55 p/m.
Then I was able to sell my old iPhone 5 that I'd bought for cash for £380.
So if you add that into the mix (£380 divided by 24 = £15.83) it effectively brings my total monthly cost down to £20.72 per month!
Then in addition I also get a £15 p/m contribution from my work towards the use of my phone for work purposes.
So if you add that into the mix in effect I have got a brand new iPhone 5S on 4G with all the data, mins & texts I can eat for £5.72 per month!!!!!!
Final note: when I went into the EE store they said I couldn't carry over my Orange customer loyalty to EE, but over the phone they allowed it.
Good luck people & let me & others know what deal you managed to get on a new iPhone?

The only problem is that it's on EE, whose network continues to deteriorate.0
