Alex - reading the book to get the whole picture and how it can be done is probably best. I'm no good at writing a synopsis
:rotfl: least you did something enjoyable and hope the holiday did you good. Still a sunny day out there, so get that washing on and out on the lineBack on the DFW Wagon:

I suppose I'm not really interested enough to read the book.I'm too old to be starting out with pensions, had I been sensible during my early 20's I may have a different attitude as it would have been nice to not need to rely on my future inheritance.
As for today, it is indeed nice weather but I'm meant to be working (no show from customer so far though). Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Evening Diary
Today mourns the loss of my 1986 magi-can, so it's peas with dinner tonight and not baked beans :rotfl: I had hoped it'd make it to it's 30th anniversary next year, but no such luck. I shall be investing in it's in modern equivalent. Meal plans are only good if there's not an equipment failure - new lesson learnt
Postman brought the 3rd and final pension increase letter of the year, so a change to budget from 1st May. Similarly, new lower rate for electric takes effect from Friday, so I must submit the reading on Thursday.
Earnt 6p using Qmee by helping a friend look for a new deal on their mortgage. Love how it just pops up and free money goes in the pot
So April has seen £6.52 extra come in from P!necone and Qmee - I've rounded it up to £10 and added that to the mortgage capital payment tomorrow - £930 now going :j Can't wait to phone them at 8am tomorrow and update sig as the mortgage turns into a teenager :rotfl:
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery and draws checked
- Inbox Pounds at £10.59
Work busy and probably working Saturday, will enjoy a 2 day weekend still with the Bank Holiday off
Hope it's been a good day for everyoneBack on the DFW Wagon:

Alex - If you need the pension then get cracking. If you don't then that's the best result!!
I'm a few years older than you and I think it is a very good idea for me. Your comments could make the front pages and kill the pensions industry in one go!! You should get into politics!

I'm lucky enough to not need a pension.
As for politics, it's something I'm very interested in but I can't think of anything worse than having your every move scrutinised by the media.2018 totals:

Ah... now inheritance is a tricky thing is it not? I suppose you have to be the youngest and have older parents... :rotfl:
Anyways too much discussion for my very foggy post-tablet-induced-coma head. Migraine horror prompted use of one of the horse tranquillisers Ali.
Glad to see you are doing well, and don't I wish I could turn back time in the way you are turning your mortgage into a teenager!!will be excited for you tomorrow!!
Big hugs xx

It's mortgage update day :j No surprise as I've been babbling on about it :rotfl:
£930 capital payment gone to the Spanish Bank and 3 milestones achieved :j
Last month - £120,480, LTV 46.34%, 9.71% paid off, 4.14 months off end date
Now £119,550, LTV 45.98%, 10.41% paid off, 4.55 months off end date
The split:
£27,345 - sits at £24,000
£106,099 - now at £95,550
I'm into the teens, LTV has dropped into the 45s and finally, I've hit 10% paid off. That has been a very long time coming - 17 months!
Spreadsheet fiddling shows if I can pay £960 next month, it'll take 5 months off the end date. Thinking of hitting the smaller part going forward so it's gone by time the fixed rate ends.
I think interest will reduce by @ £2.80 for May, will take a week or so to view the figure on lineBack on the DFW Wagon:
