Very firey now..that chill is hot :rotfl:
Fortunately I shall be with like-minded friends this evening, in for a good night and I may even partake in a glass of red or 2 - a very rare occurrence. Then I will say it as it is  so I shan't post again here until it's worn off and I pity my chauffeur for the evening :rotfl:

No Beanie, just add it to the virtual wallet and then when you next buy the product in Sainsbury's you get the extra points - it says it can take up to 10 days for them to allocate points.
My shopping was delivered yesterday so I will see how long it does take for them to show.0 -
Thanks for that EE. I will look into it. I try not to use them but it might be good if I can pick what I want to earn points on
Ali hope there is no hangover this morning?xx

Good morning
and no hangover :j I was pretty wobbly after 2 glasses of wine though :rotfl: but obligatory cups of tea on getting home and all good in the head this morning
Up way too early for a Sunday thanks to neighbours house alarm  but we have sunshine :j and I have energy :j
I've put away the dry washing from the airer and just starting to make a list of what we need in town. I can see it being an expensive outing
On the MSE side, friends last night have offered to look after doglets for our summer holiday, which will save over £450 on the farm kennel costs :T Definitely taking them up on that one
Thanks EE for the Sbugs info, I shall be looking into that and seeing what I can earn from it :T

Spring is here :j signalled by all the neighbours simultaneously cutting grass :rotfl: A job I no longer have and a great saving of pain to my back :T
It was just me that went to town, DS flatly refused citing homework to do..hmm, he must hate shopping that much :rotfl:. He has however agreed he needs clothes and trainers, so we shall pop to the Retail Park one evening when it is quieter.
Good news or bad news first? The good news is really quite good
- free parking all day :j
- nearly everything I bought for me was in the sale :j
- tried on my bikinis before going to town and they still fit (I think stretched with wear is closer to the truth :rotfl: as they are all 8-12 years old).
- got all the cards for April and May birthdays as they had their 5 for £1 deal on
The spendy bad bit:
- £5.94 on 11 cards (3 close family which means 6 cards as also get them from DS)
- £18.14 - In Wilko's - hair and beauty bits, dog treats, holiday needs and a bargain pack of leather coasters for 50p, much needed
- £16.99 - replacement toe post leather flip flop sandals with springs in :rotfl: they're so spongy and comfortable
- £18.00 - gorgeous top in Debenhams, in the sale and paid for using birthday Giftcard so a freebie :j
- £72.00  on clothes and shoes in Bhs. 1 sale item (Wallis £10 off), the rest 20% off.
Got staples such as white cropped trousers (Wallis) and ballerina shoes (replacing a pair that are ready for the bin), 2 tops also Wallis (non-iron of course) and the elusive pair of sandals I didn't buy last year
Only frivolous purchase was a pair of small heeled royal blue cross-over type strappy shoes - these I'm keeping for a big birthday bash we're going to in April and will go with the lovely Debs top. I can then use them for work or going out. I've already got a light scarf with royal blue in it, so it'll be easy to create other outfits. Ooh, sounds like I'm heading towards capsule wardrobe :T
All the clothes/shoes are covered by birthday money that I banked, so I don't feel bad about it and I was careful to choose items I plan to get alot of wear out of. Was really surprised (and somewhat saddened) that Bhs had alot of items I liked :rotfl:.
Weather still beautiful here, got a few outdoor clear up jobs to do and then it'll be the usual Sunday night rituals of dinner, school bags, lunches and prep for work in the morning.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Afternoon Ali, thought I'd stop by and say hi! DH starts his job tomorrow plus it's my payday so all looking positive here.....about time too! I had some good news the other week in that due to the council rejiggering support staff payscales, I'm in for about £1000 a year rise from April, which is most welcome.
Our council tax is going up £3 a month, so twelve payments of £128 up from £125. With DH back in work I don't mind the increase so much this year!
I'm another who remembers limited maternity leave, I think I had four weeks full pay, two at 90% then six half pay followed by the rest to six months at statutory. That was twelve years ago, and because I was teaching I took the advice of some older colleagues and planned a spring baby so I could go back to work on the first day of the summer holidays on my full time pay, then my 0.6 contract kicked in on 1st Sept. DS was four and a half months old when I went back but I was lucky to find a nursery which offered a term time only option, it was still half my salary though! (Explains why I didn't go back after DD, I just didn't see the point in working to pay for childcare).
It's a glorious day here, need to get the house shipshape ready to face the week without DH here to 'help'. Am secretly looking forward to assuming full control of the household again though, but don't tell him!0 -
Hi Molly
Fantastic news and you'll be back on an even financial keel before you know it with both of you working and excellent on your payrise - congratulations :T:T
I should apologise to those in the public sector if I offended with my comments yesterday - I don't begrudge anyone their salary or the job they choose. More the way it *landed* on my diary and the aspersions that were cast within it. Nuff said!
Maternity leave and pay has come on a great deal - nearly 15 years ago for me  . I remember nursery fees being @ £600 a month and had to pay whether I was off work or not. My mortgage then was £240 a month :rotfl: I'd never have afforded it all had I not been at the old house.
He he...enjoy taking over the household reins once more and I do hope DH enjoys his new jobBack on the DFW Wagon:
