I'm on gammon leftovers as well, and will be till the weekend at this rate! We had a gammon, pepper and potato frittata for dinner and it was yummy
I need to think of something quick to make for tomorrow as we're at a funeral tomorrow and probably won't be back till late.0 -
:rotfl: Gammon week all round!
The frittata sounds lush Moomin and I think DS would probably eat that too. Meal plan on for a change then for tomorrow night. How do you make it?
I can only think of gammon, egg or pineapple with 20 min oven chips for speed - or my fallback toasted sandwiches
Did you have any joy with Quidco on the christmas game and quidcode? I'm pants at explaining stuff.Back on the DFW Wagon:

I finally figured it out but haven't won anything yet!
I will have a look for the recipe, found it online earlier when searching for leftovers recipes as I can't have chips due to still clinging desperately to Weight Watchers until Christmas :rotfl:0 -
I can't find the link, so here's how I made it...
You will need:
One red pepper
225g of potatoes
Four eggs
Two tablespoons of milk
75g of ham (more if you want!)
Boil the potatoes for ten minutes and then run them under cold water and slice them thickly.
In a frying pan, fry the pepper for a couple of minutes then add the potatoes and fry for another minute or two. Add in the ham and then add the mixture of eggs and milk (beaten together and seasoned with salt and pepper to taste). Leave that to cook for two or three minutes and then finish under the grill for another three minutes until fully cooked.
I added a wee sprinkle of cheese and grilled for another minute.0 -
Brill, thanks so much for writing that all out, much appreciated and easy to do too is a bonus. Sounds good with the sprinkled cheese on, that'll appeal to DS for sure.
Ah, something healthy and quick. That's completely stumped me!Back on the DFW Wagon:

A busy work day and evening, but then I've sat tonight and completed:
2 P!necone surveys for £6 to Paypal
3 Nectar Canvass surveys - long ones but bagged 280 points
Watched a few more Nectar Ads and up to 46 points
Somewhere inbetween, made and ate the frittata - thumbs up from both of us. Now added into the regular gammon leftover meals. Thanks Moomin.
HAX online is showing the £205 - balance now £5975
Bank account checked
freepostcodelottery checked
Nectar points have jumped to £12.25 and more to come from pending e-shop Xmas present purchases. :j
Next year, I am aiming to earn and use £60 in points to spend in TU sales to help the clothes budget and £70 for Xmas turkeys and related food.
The spends:
£1.10 for parking in town as the £39 purse ordered from Debenhams had arrived - cost to me was £5. Very pleased with that. Whilst there, got given a 10% spend instore today voucher and had already eyed up the duvets and pillows at half price. Got 2 goose down pillows reduced from £54 to £24.30. These will replace my ancient hollow fibre ones and hoping they'll be better for my neck/back and ultimately reduce the frequency of visits to the Osteo. A big saving financially if it works.
£2.50 for Ibruprofen Meltlets - DS is still unwell and too old for the kids Calpol and isn't managing to swallow capsules/tabs, so pharmacist recommend the Melts.
Should have a NSD tomorrow as work then Mum's next hospital appointment. Thursday will be a spendy one after work with getting the fresh veg and drinks for Sunday, plus a small weekly shop. Monday starts the turkey challenge - how many days can we face eating it on the trot :rotfl:. Thank goodness for the freezers!
How's everyone else doing?
Ooh, forgot to say Envirofone have confirmed they've received and tested my old phone and that they'll be paying me £32.08 on 17th December. It's 1p lower than they quoted though! I'm a little perturbed but don't think I can quibble too much!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Something else I forgot!
The 20 replacement toothbrush heads (£9) arrived yesterday from Hong Kong and are a perfect fit for both our brushes. A huge saving on UK prices and will last us 2 and a half years, providing I don't put the spares somewhere so safe I can't find them. :rotfl:

Today's update.
Busy with work and extra fuel used today with the next hospital appointment. Will need a second full tank for personal use this month as we've a 200 mile round trip to make on top of more running around than usual.
P!necone paid £6 into Paypal today for the 2 surveys yesterday, they are super quick.
Nectar adpoints checked - up to 54 now
Nectar canvass - nothing today. Phew actually
Nectar search bar - up to 39 points without trying (as I've installed it correctly this time :rotfl:)
Nectar card value - moved on up again to £13.67
Bank account checked
freepostcodelottery checked
New and old purse sorted and found an old lottery ticket from September - checked it but not a winner.
New pillows seem to be good, slept very well last night and no aching neck this morning. That's a first in ages. Really hoping that continues.
Still not been paid by one eBay buyer - I sent a message to them tonight to ask for a response within 48 hours. Then a case of taking it up with eBay I guess.
Turkey for Sunday is now out of the freezer and taking up half the fridge :rotfl: 88 hours defrosting time
And to round today off nicely - a NSD :j
Hope everyone has had a good day.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Great news today, the last ebay buyer has paid. Transferred £34.50 from PP to my bank account and left enough to cover ebay fees.
Quidco confirmed their £1 payment to my bank account too, plus envirofone's payment should arrive on the 17th. So will make a second payment to CC1 on the 18th for £95, bringing this month's payment to £470.
Old CC 2 statement now in - £150 payment set up to go out on 16/12 to clear that.
The spendy bit!
Aldi's Super 6 lent itself nicely to the veg needs for Sunday, spent £19.62 including all the drinks for that. £16.10 on our normal weekly shop, so a total of £35.72. Shouldn't need much now until after Christmas as I'll freeze the spare fresh veg and use that.
Only thing I couldn't get was packet bread sauce so will need to pop to local SB for that.
Nectar adpoints - double ad and a 7 pointer today, so now up to 69 points
Nectar canvass - one done for 60 points
Nectar search - 42
Nectar card value - £13.73
freepostcodelottery checked
bank account checked
And no-one spotted my deliberate meal plan mistake - I'd left Tuesday out of the week :rotfl: We did eat reallySo meat pies were last night and tonight we had pork with veg.
My Mum usually sorts DS out with a card and small gift from him to me, however it seems she has left him to it completely now he's a teenager. A little probing and suddenly he wants me to take him to town on Saturday morning to get a card and present - and could he have £10 please :rotfl: Haven't bought the dogs their Xmas big bones yet, so may head to the town market on Saturday early.
Having that leaking money feeling at the moment.Back on the DFW Wagon:
