Fantastic - never saw anything more accurate. :rotfl:

From a cats POV your main attraction is having opposable thumbs which facilitates the opening of cans and pouches!
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

  • I have three Siamese - all boys and all stupid!!

They have a tin of whiskas between them at night but they do have a bowl of dried go-cat food out all the time with water (which is a waste as the water in the sink is obviously of a higher calibre judging by the amount of times they drink it!)

And if I shout "Who want's some sweeties?", they all come bombing downstairs in anticipation of some treats - not that stupid then!!

You call them "sweeties" too? :rotfl: There's us thinking we were the only ones doing that :D You can't rustle a bag in this house without a cat appearing beside you.

We have one tap drinker and one who drinks from bowls outside. we have three different ones out: originally for the birds but now shared by our two and some passing neighbours cats.

Did you know that water loses it taste after about an hour? it must do, as my Barnes complains loudly if his water has been down for more than that! :):):)

I only give mine 120g of wet food a day and about 30g of dried biscuits.

The "general" rule is that the better quality the food, the less you should need to feed. One company that may be worth trying is Lily's Kitchen...they started making dog food, but now do some cat bits as well. If you go to their website and drop them and email or call them, they may well send you out some samples FOC to try to see if your cat likes them - just let them know what flavours she usually likes. You can also call their holistic vet, Holly, free of charge - she can be useful if you're worried about dietary issues, etc. The quality of their food is first rate - I worked for them very briefly (no longer) and simply cannot fault them on food quality.

Thank you for this. I've examined and saved the website and sent an e-mail as they have no stockists in our country. I'll let you know how it pans out. :)

Not sure if this will help, but I think they sell via Amazon...they're very good, though, so may still be able to send you some samples, but I am afraid I can't be entirely sure.

Speaking of a brand not being available there's a *brilliant* New Zealand company who make a brand of dog and cat food called "Addiction". It's sold in the US (I spent some time working in an organic pet food shop in Washington DC...one of my more random adventures :)) and is hands down some of the best I have ever seen in terms of quality, but sadly it's not yet available in the UK.

I'll wait for them to e-mail me back but that tip about Amazon is a good one.

I checked out Addiction and you're right: they don't sell in the UK - yet!

Thanks once again for your advice and tips. I'll get the puddies to send you a Christmas Card. :p
