Yes you did and yes you are. You simply failed to read (or at least understand) the T&Cs attached to the Oyster card offer.

I'm not disputing that HCD are acting in a dubious, ethically and morally bankrupt way. But they are acting legally. Have you formally notified them to cancel?
  • I can confirm that after a month of "subscription" and after claiming 2 different offers, I have not received any reimbursement whatsoever. When I spoke to the customer services they apologised and were supposed to get back to me regarding my claim but that didn't happen either. I emailed them a few times and no response. If you have paid already, the best thing is to call your bank and get a new card so that they don't keep taking money off your account which they will try anyway.

This is absolutely 100% SCAM and my advice is to AVOID LIKE PLAGUE.
  • the saying "if it looks too good to be true" applies to this con, but I was sucked in. I tried contacting them by phone the number doesnt work. At no stage during the sign up is a monthly payment mentioned. When I checked my credit card statement on line I found that I had been charged a monthly payment and I was too late to stop the second payment. My credit card company told me to check my statement each month to make sure that Hot Crazy Deals hasnt changed their name to get round the subscription cancellation.
  • I signed up to the Oyster deal and was then very worried.

I cancelled my membership by email immediately, which was confirmed by them and I was never charged.

Today I have received my refund.

e-Promotion Limited sent you £31.91 GBP

    Dear ***,

Just thought you'd like to know e-Promotion Limited sent you £31.91 GBP.

    Note from e-Promotion Limited:
Hi Sir/Madam, Please note that your refund has been credited on your Paypal account. Cheers, HotCrazyDeal Team

Maybe I was lucky or maybe the people on here who are crying didn't read the T+C properly and didn't cancel.

Now I can't decide whether to risk another deal. :(

Why would you get a refund from a Hong Kong based web design and SEO company?

    http://www.epromotion.com.hk/en/company.asp

Secondly if you cancelled your membership and were never charged how come you received a refund of £31.91?

    I smell BS.

Still if you are happy to deal with a company which claims to be based in Mauritius but whose Terms and Conditions say the website is subject to the laws of Panama, go ahead and 'risk another deal'.
  • This site has tried to take money off my debit card every day for 5 weeks. Luckily only one 'payment' went through and I spotted it, and the VISA card fraud team is now investigating. I can't even remember having used this site so it must have been a long time ago yet they kept my card details all this time. Cannot be trusted, please beware.
