Would it not have been better to describe it as a pocket rather than a pouch?
    I personally think your wrong.
  • "the description which says 'this bag is fitted with all the compartments needed including a pouch for a bottle'"

If this is how it was worded then surely it suggests the pouch is a compartment in the bag? I've never heard a container for a bottle to be called anything other than a bottle bag, i've never seen bottle pouches for sale so wouldn't think it was a separate thing.

Not true - she can still leave feedback for cancelled transaction.
Sorry, didn't know this - I have never been able to leave feedback for transactions I have cancelled in the past (not that I have cancelled many) - is this new or was I missing something?
Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.
  • I had similar sale the other day a person I sold to expected an" item extra" and opened a case asking for the "extra" bit they deemed missing I emailed and explained that they received all the set that was in my ad every pic and every piece of what was coming they got .

I looked at when ebay can close an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED case and one of those reasons ebay take the sellers side is when their buyer demands an item or extra part/component/add on that was NOT listed with the item ie saying THIS CAMERA ARRIVED WITHOUT AN SD CARD AND I NEED ONE TO USE IT even though you clearly said just a digital camera and battery charger was sold...it is a sign someone is an idiot, as they are expecting an extra item, but if they clearly see the images on the ad but they were able to see your photos and ask a question before they bid and they didnt so it is a case of a buyer who changed their mind when they bought something as well . Only refund them when it gets returned, and when ebay force you to.

Reporting the bidder button is a good idea, saying they are demanding extra items that were not included in the sale and let ebay have a record of it.
NB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself"

I'm not a mum, grandma now, so I'm not familiar with this product. While I think you are wrong, that's not to say she's not pulling a fast one - some buyers will always do this.
If I bought a bag that said bottle pouch- I'd envisage a SEPERATE pouch ( yes I know there probably is no such thing). Though I have seen these SEPERATE insulated bottle pouches that are not very in vogue for safety reasons now?If this was me I wouldn't argue with them, I'd have refunded and told them to keep it.

It's always best to try & sort out a dispute without ebay being involved, chances are they will tell her to return it tracked for a full refund.
I would, apologise that she feels it was not as described & ask her to return it for a refund.

The separate insulated bottle thing you mention is a bottle bag. I guess I would assume someone looking to buy a nappy/changing bag would be familiar with the term bottle bag. Anyway what we think is irrelevant at the end of the day. Ebay may side with the seller and say buyer asking for something not included but they may also say return for a refund. If I were the seller I would have just said return for a refund straight away even though I think the buyer made a wrong assumption.

Funniest that happened to me was the razor with 2 blades.

Many razors now come with just 1 blade, so as this had 2 - it was worth mentioning. "razor - comes with 2 blades"

Buyer emails asking where the 3rd blade was. I said auction clearly states 2.

"Yeah, but i want the one that would have come with it anyway. Surely you didn't include that one - as without it - you would have just been selling an handle" :rotfl::rotfl:

Threatened a neg unless i sent an extra one. I refused and asked her to return it - and never heared from her again.

I think she deserved an extra blade for the laugh.
  • How much is postage? She may be hoping for a partial refund without returning the item. I'd offer a refund on return: if the return postage would cost a substantial proportion of the item's value, she probably won't bother.
