    however....

    1) cancelled ppi at 44 a month

    2) retiling my bathroom myself.....might be a false economy!

    3) requested lower limits on my 2 egg cards now they are clean

    4) also requested lower limit on barclaycard, strangely with barclaycard i cut limit from 8k to 5k, but their cash limit is now also 5k???? i thought it was a percentage

5)turning lights off and appliances at the plug to cut my electricity bill

Wish you well. I feel your your 'post'. ... No friend to do the diy... A leaky downpipe, a hole in the wall caused by next door neighbours scaffolding people. Thus water penetration in the living room . For neighbourly peace sake have taken on resposibiltiy to get repairs done but i've als decided to let her know it's her buildrs' fault. Kitchen floor tiling needs to be re-set after bad kitchen fitter caused the leak which even after a year I still intend to tackle myself. I'm working six days a week so I do not know when it will get done. Mortgage would have bounced yesterday but have managed to 'delay' it and catch up over time. Madness I know... my 'false' feel better' factor is wine and cigarattes. As I re-read this I already know that I can spend the time 'doing' the things I need to get done rather than comiserate in cigs and wine. Thank you for this free consultation - i will get right to it. Thank you.
  • Yes I know the wine and fag pick me up!!!!

I went to the library and got a diy book out, then got people in to tell me what needed doing in my bathroom and quote for it

now trying to do myself...but tiling is not that hard apparantly if you are carefull

    good luck!!!
  • Doing ok I think....Finally discovered Quidco:j

    1) I will switch my house and contents insurance to nat west from halifax, no savings on premium as they are the same bar 50p a month but 100 quid back from quidco, seems unbelievable

    2) applied for goldfish card to get 41 quid....waiting to hear

    3) when my lodger moves out of spare single bedroom I am going in there and renting out master ensuite for 750 a month...

    4) doing all my shopping own brand, can't tell the difference, tried to get my 2 cats on non premium food but no joy...heigh ho!
