  • i stopped drinking 'in the week', people can relate to it and so don't pressure me into a drink; and it also looks like i'm just trying to be healthy :)

    Good advice - but not the easiest thing to do. :beer:
    I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
    If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

    Paid £700 off barclaycard, yippee..balance now £1,300

    Listed loads of stuff on ebay..

    Thinking of selling all my old books/cds on amazon as well

    Cancelled all non essential dd's

    Feeling virtuous..:-)
  • Things I have done since joining MSE....

    1) Switched gas and electric to cheaper supplier (£15 from uswitch)
    2) Cancelled gym (£50)
    3) Reduced sky package (down £15)
    4) Stopped paying 18pcm for broadband, now free..talk talk
    5) Bulk of debt now 0% till April 08
    6) Listings on ebay (£400)
    7) switched home phone
    8) Joined freecycle!!!
    9) Got a £10 from egg money manager!

  • Yikes, debt free in february i doubt it somehow...

    no hot water from boiler for bath and tiles are loose on roof...i foresee expensive repairs:confused:
