Upset at carcraft

I bought a car from carcraft a week gone wednesday
A ford fiesta (totally overpriced) the salesman was very
Pushy and on the test drive was texting and talking
On his mobile, they tried to add things on to my
Agreement which i hadnt agreed to and dropped the part
Ex price for my car which luckily i noticed,
Anyway i was driving on the A1 fri afternoon
And smoke started coming from the engine, so myself
And my daughter got out of the car on the hard shoulder
To wait for the rac, was told its probably the
Head gasket...the car only has 9300 miles
Om the clock and is 3yrs old..my weekend has
Been ruined and carcraft say they will repair
It as im out of the 7 day exchange..i mean
Surely after having the car for 9 days they
Would be sympathetic, its a mechanical fault not
The fact i dont like the colour...rang carcraft this morning
And waited 4 hrs to speak to the ops manager
He was supposed to ring at 10am...no call
Just to say he would be in touch soon, he was
So unhelpful and i am so upset, i dont want
The car and it had upset my daughter too,
Any advice would be appreciated on this matter

Your post looks like a poem.
Don't grow up. Its a trap!

    Peace, love and labradors!
  • So far it's only 'probably' the head gasket. So it might not be especially with such low mileage; it could be a split pipe or anything.

But Carcraft are offering to repair it, they're not telling you that it's nothing to do with them or trying to make you pay for it.

Smoke from the engine or exhaust? Petrol/ Diesel?

    Cars breakdown. It happens.

Yes you probably paid WAY too much for something you should not have bought. But thats a bit late now.
Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...

  • I'd rather walk than buy anything from Carcraft but as long as they fix it and it doesn't cost you anything, then all is well.

Why have you bought a car you think is overpriced off of a sales man you didnt like? Are you mad? If in doubt walk away.

    Great lyrics.

This can be sung to Con te Partiro by Saratori/Quarantotto, better known as Time to Say Goodbye by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli.

Try it. Ignore the Italian intro start from 1m 6 sec.

You bought a used car you knew was overpriced from a pushy salesman, got bad service, went through with the deal, bought from a sister company to We Buy Any Car, and now want advice.

    Have you considered public transport?

Did the RAC recover the car or say it was just a rocker gasket leaking oil and let you drive away.
If it was the Head gasket, the car would be on TOW
    Be happy...;)

A lot of posts having a go knock it off.

Try to be reasonable with them ask them to look at it and give them time to fix it.

If they blame you or get pushy talk to Trading Standards.

Car Craft have had some bad press over the years.
