Hows your week been?

So... Had one of the most stressful weeks of my lufe with work and other things. Nothing bad but glad to be sitting having a beer on this Saturday night after a trying week!

Hows your week been? Anyone else glad to be chilling?

It has been a really busy and tiring week, but all good. Variety is the spice of life. Glad to be chilling out now and looking forward to a lay in tomorrow. One more week and I jet off on holiday. I cant wait.

Like others my week has been far too stressful and has made me decide to leave my current job and join an agency. It will be working in same field but at a huge hourly rate. This will lead to my being able to pay off my mortgage quicker, which will lift a weight of my shoulders. Big risk for me as I am on my own, but it will be worth in the long run!

Today has been a lovely day though, lots of cleaning, cooking and pleasantness and generally feel blessed. Good wishes to you all.........

how has it been stressful - when you say 'nothing bad'? to me a stressful week is when bad things happen!
are you 'stressing' over little things?

To me stressful is having to try and juggle too many balls at once. Its the possibility of everything going tits up that raises those anxiety levels. Not necessarily just dealing with bad occurrences.

  • Meritaten your idea of stressful isnt the same as everyone elses... Its a pretty common thing that prople get stressed out about different things... For example u may get stressed about driving on the motorway whilst to me I couldnt care less.

In this case it has been a really stressful week at work because I have been working on a number of high profile projects and this week involved a lot of juggling, things going wrong, late nights and general stress.

So yeh - it was a stressful week in the fact i was working til 10pm every night and am glad to just have a good relax tonight... But no i wouldnt particularly say that was anything bad. I have my health and happiness and a good life , but it can still be stressful.

I had absolutely mad month until this week.. deadlines at work, best friend's bday party at my house combined with all the family coming as a surprise for her and staying here, decorating the house finishing HOURS before the party and their arrival and then another friend coming the weekend after that.. and then Monday came, all a lot easier and this weekend we are doing nothing but chilling..
So in answer-this week has been good, but would you ask me last week or the week before I would just sigh I think:D

I'm counting the days to the end of October too. Who knew I would miss wine so much!

    I haven't had a very nice week.

Nothing major but I've been an antibiotics for an infection and I think the tablets are giving me a massive headache and upset tummy.

My ex boyfriend has a new girlfriend which I am sad about and what makes it worse is you know you have no right to be sad and no one wants to hear you moan about it.

My sons decided they didn't want to stay with their father this weekend (ex husband from many years back, not my ex boyfriend) so I had a very unpleasant phone call from him.

My older son has some quite ridiculous science homework that I will have to work out quietly by myself before I can help him with it!

HMRC sent me a letter this morning saying I haven't been paying back my overpayment of tax credits from ages ago. Checked the bank and weirdly my direct debit stopped a few months ago. No idea why but will have to phone again and be on hold for hours to get that sorted out.

It has rained all week and my porch is full of slugs.

All little things but I feel quite down this evening.

It's been a long, strange and stressful week.

Every evening, as I started my permanent job, there's been something going wrong that's affected how I work.

Different things every night with different workarounds.

Right now, any beeps, alarms, buzzers or sirens have me twitching to see where the noise is coming from.

My internet and 'phone line have been down since Friday 11th (got it back yesterday) and have been dealing with Talk Talk customer services through the week. :wall: :wall: :wall:

The night shift that I did on my zero hours job wrecked me for the rest of the week.

I had an eye test and paid a load of money for two pairs of bifocals.

Had a long chat with the phone repair guy who saw me meet my near neighbour of eight years for the first time - we introduced ourselves and everything :o

I only met the 'phone guy by pure chance. No one told me when he was coming (after I'd booked two visits for Monday and Tuesday - both cancelled without telling me ) and I only met him yesterday afternoon after coming home from the college salon.

I was itching like a chimp after the haircut and was looking forward to a shower before getting to work but had to stick around and let the 'phone guy in to effect a permanent repair after I found him up a ladder on my arrival home.

Whilst I was at work, Talk Talk called me and told me the phone was fixed.

    Was it?

Well I called you on your landline number, said the CS manager.

Um no, I said, that's the redirection service you put on the line after you worked out there was a 'phone fault.

Confused, he asked me if I knew how to take the redirect off.

No. And he didn't know either.

So after working a stressful, workaround-something-going-wrong-shift, waiting nearly half an hour for a tram home (the tram was 12 mins away for over 12 mins before it started to count down) and still itching and scratching myself like a monkey with fleas, I had to trawl through the instructions for my 'phone and for the Talk Talk services before I worked out how to take off the redirect from my landline to my Orange mobile. At nearly midnight.

I found an email from Talk Talk in my Inbox. Asking me to fill in a questionnaire about their Customer Services. :wall:

After a long shower, I found insect bites around my left arm and shoulder where I'd been leaning on the upholstered wheelchair park on the tram into work. :(

Today, I overslept wildly, got into work so that my zero hours boss could sign my timesheet and submitted it this afternoon so that it can be processed on Monday morning and I can get paid on Thursday.

On getting back to Wolves, instead of going home to potter, do the laundry and chill, I trawled the charity shops and found "Now That's What I Call Music" 1 and 3 in Oxfam.

Result. 68 down and 17 to go. :o Oh, the embarrassing nerdiness of it.

So, yeah. I got to the end of the week. Just.

And I'm teetotal so I don't have the consolation of wine.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...
