SQEEEEEEEEE, I just sold some cupcakes! Someone actually came to my door and paid me, I'd been practising the Christmas ones just so I could take photos and then advertised them and they flew out of the door, so tomorrow I shall make Firework / Bonfire Cupcakes and see if they go as quickly! Tonight I made a tenner for 6 cakes. Amazing!!!Barclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

Hi Nellie

Well done for the cakes and no need for thanks - that's what we are all here for to help one another against the Big Bad money stealers.

Im doing OKish, just applied for some part time jobs to make the money up as I currently work 3 days a week, I dont know if Im a viable option though as an employee as ive just had 5 moths off work for a serious operation, I have been working at my current job cosistently with no sickness since early July, I had the dreaded call last night from my mortgage provider and we think we have come up with a way for me to avoid the 35.00 charge for each letter, I phone them after each payment then tell them when the next payment will be no matter how small. Also The Bla**horse have stopped my arrangement with them as I have been paying them 20.00 per month which is 15.00 over the 5.00 we agreed, you can only pay online a minimum payment of 20.00. I thought that would be good but oh no it breaches our agreement! Beggars Belief! so Ive written saying my minimum payment will be 20.00 for next 6 months, lets see what they doBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

Full of cold and not feeling the love for anything today. I made a payment of 166.71 off the outstanding mortgage, but then had a letter from them which charged me 35.00, I need to call them and tell them when the next payment will be, had the payment arangement accepted by the council for council tax arrears, one payment of 120 and then eight payments of 118.
It does feel good amending my signature at the end of every day, even if its only a NSD.
I really fancied a latte this afternoon after I got in from work, rather than stopping at Maccy's I made a coffee at home and boiled some milk then shook it in the empty milk container til it went frothy and hey presto a lovely cheapo Latte.
Going to visit my OH this weekend, he knows how broke I am, he's even offered to pay a couple of hundred off the mortgage for me each month, I havent accepted, that would just feel wrong. But he is treating me to a night away and get this, I'm excited over the free shampoo and shower gel that will be hopping into my shower bag. Lifes little luxuries!
I just wish I wasnt a snot machine, everything feels so much brighter without a cold. Think I may have caught a strain of that wierd Man Flu!
So tonight I need to plan my next mortgage payment, I'm hoping I can clear it out of this moths salary and child tax credit so then Dec will be all christmassy, with a bit of money to get the main pressie for son3.
Ive advertised my cake making skills at work and though I might advertise my Christmas pressie wrapping skills too, everyone at book club was complaining how they cant wrap gifts! I just love it!
Happy nearly the weekend all xxxBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

The cold is still here, lurking in the background, just a couple of coughing fits yesterday. Happy that I payed the Mortgage payment, off to see OH in a mo, doing a home hair dye first which was 0.99 from HomeBargin, lets hope it doesnt melt my existing hair, I wonder if I should just go grey rather than dye it now, the majority of my hair is grey, I'd have to do it Jessie J style and have it shaved off, its a great way of raising money for cancer charities, hmmmmm now im off to ponder xxBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

Hope you enjoy your time away
and sorry you have the sniffles. Think about half the people I know are snuffly.
Glad to see you are making progress with your payment organisation and getting things sorted.
I'd keep colouring the hair as if you look good it helps you feel good I think and for 99p you can't go wrong eh.:rotfl:
Busy with my course at the moment so I'll talk to you later next week.
Keep your chin up and wrap up warm

Hi there,
Enjoy your time with DS xx:)
Its been a funny week, I've had a couple of NSD. Been crafting away making things ready to sell, it's been productive. My Ds is home for the weekend, I'm going to try not to buy any extras to feed him with, just use up stores and the freezer.
Had a good chat yesterday with the Blackhorse debt line, put an agreement in that I will only pay 20.00 per month on the debt and they wont charge me interest, then it will go up to 50 per month and I will be charged some interest. Seems fair to me, I'd over paid each month and that breached my agreement, he also knocked the 25.00 admin fee off for me.
Need to speak with Halifax on Monday to make a new payment arrangement for the arrears on my mortgage.
Due to being sensible with the cash, I think I'm going to have to break it to the kids that Christmas this year is going to be frugal. I've been buying bits and bobs of essentials along the way and made everyone a hamper each, it contains things they need every day like expensive smellies, 3 fror a fiver, I might just stretch to giving each of them a voucher for 20.00, but Id rather not if I'm honest.
Any way, back to the sewing machine now
Have a great Saturday,

Hi Nellie
You sound like you're doing really well, I think keeping motivation and having a plan is key to sticking it out when things are tough and you sound like you have an abundance of that at the mo!
So will you be selling your house once your DS has flown the nest/finished college? If so will the equity in the house be enough to cover any debts that you may not have paid off already?
Hope your cold has gone now, i'm just coming down with one myself! Hate this weather (mainly because I have to turn the heating on which costs money
