:j:jToday has been a good day, took my eldest for a job interview and he paid the petrol and treated me to a cheeky happy meal and he got the job!! Made redundant on Friday new job on Wednesday, God love him. Now back home going to read my book club book and maybe have a snooze before going to watch The Great British Bakeoff final, DIL is making the cake for this one so no pressure, last week my son made the cutest fairy cakes. Its been a NSD for me so far, I'll update my signature tomorrow:j:jBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

Horray! Another no spend day for me, some of my things will be sold on ebay this time tomorrow, all in the Mortgage kitty, it feels good to get rid of some clutter and making money.
I wonder if I could go completely minimal, we dont hoard stuff here but could I part with everything if it cleared my mortgage debt? well theres a posser?
I need petrol tomorrow, I'm going to get it at Sainsburys and rack up the points for xmas.
Im quite liking this feeling of doing something about the debt, even if its just writing on here daily its keeping me focussed.Barclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

£12.45 off the mortgage payment and its payday tomorrow so I need to start as I mean to go on, £25.00 per week on groceries and £50.00 per week on petrol, start sorting this horrible money mess out, small consistent steps should do it. God knows how long its going to take, it will be worth it. I feel really positive, packed lunches into work have been a massive help, making sure I have no money on me and no debit card, I just need to stick to the plan! Yesterday was payday, I treated myself to a hairdye, a sandwich and a drink and a filled bone for the pooch, still feeling a bit guilty about spending so much. I collect OH man bag today, then try and hide it away until Christmas. Im still avoiding putting the heating on and Ive dropped Son3 pocket money down, Ive explained why and he seems ok with it. Really hoping the decrease will make him want to get a part time job, its time for him to enter the real world.
I feel adrift though this morning as I cant get in to my online banking, my pin sentry seems to have died. If I drop it down to Barclays will the give me a replacement?Barclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

I know HSBC give you a replacement pin generator on the spot so worth stopping in a BArclays. It sounds like you have a battle on your hands but you are attacking it well. Very best of love and luck to you.

Thank you, I'll give it a go, if all else fails I will see if I can replace the battery, it looks like it may just be a watch battery.
I've made up all my envelopes this morning to sort Groceries, Petrol, Lunch money into weekly chunks, I withdrew cash so now have a months worth of payments. Anything I dont use will come off the morgage. Ive enjoyed taking packed lunches into work, the down side is that I dont get a lunch break now as I'll sit and eat while typing, all adds up as TOIL though for me to take a day off.
Goals for this week- Packed lunches from stores
- meal plan for the month from stores
- Do not take any money with me into work and leave Debit card at home
- Work on the blanket I'm making
- Finish the book for book club
- Arrange my diary for next two months
- Stick to the Fodmap diet

Hello *waves*, lets hope we quash the debt, I feel really guilty about spending any money at all now, made 17.54 on eBay, paid it off the mortgage and I've been shopping around for christmas presents trying to get them as cheap as I can, Ive budgeted a fiver per person except for Youngest and OH, and 20.00 gift cards with a hamper for the other Kids and thier girlfriends, its going well, I'm averaging at about 2.50 per person but it looks as though I have spent more on them. Bought Son3 a winter coat, I got him an age 15/16 one even though hes 17, it was reduced from 120 to 70 then 35 so I got a real bargain, got him to try it on, he loves it, then I cut the age label out of it, he's none the wiser.
:rotfl:
Just need to stick to the budgets now, be super strict. I went to the outlet village with just the money I wanted to spend, left my Debit Card at home, then did the same on an Ikea trip. I managed to get some fabric etc for the craft fayre from there.Barclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest
